Had lunch today at the windy ridge Cafe. Beautiful outside location with great service. The Reuben sandwich was amazing, as was the adult burger… We left nothing in the plate. The salads were well portioned, fresh with tasty dressings. The kids burger was dry, very dry. I made the mistake of not asking for it medium and got over well done… My son loved the fries, but left half the burger as it was overcooked. Lesson learned for next time. We finished the meal of with key lime pie which was well presented and delicious.

This restaurants, a diamond in the rough even though it’s not located in the roof. The service was great. The reception was wonderful. Very clean restaurant. We went right for the main course. Chicken with fresh bread from the bakery and homemade turkey sausage gravy. Pastrami Reuben with thick pastrami. But the best part of the meal was the desserts from the bakery. Homemade apple pie and bread pudding made from a croissant! Prices are very reasonable and service was fantastic.

Outdoor seating, fast friendly service and Delicious food. Meal prices ranged from about 15-25$ a plate.

long time customer who was glad to pay up for a great country breakfast-what used to be home grown sausage, now appears to be Sysco systems-(I could be wrong, but way off the mark from just last year). Potatoes not the same quality. Generally very disappointing -that said well attended with many happy salad eaters.

Although it doesn’t look like much, the food was top tier. We got the eggplant parmesan sandwich which was perfectly crispy and had the right about of sauce and also the breakfast burrito which was smothered in verde making it super flavorful. If you like fries that are crispu on the outside and tender on the inside this is the place. Service was quick and the patio was beautiful. Just from seeing the plates go by as we waiting for our food, anything on the menu is sure to taste great.

Bad food and bad service. I don’t understand the good reviews on this place. I went based on the reviews and was extremely disappointed. I got the almond trout with grits. It was bland and cold. The dish looked like someone threw it up. The grits were dry and clumpy, and the fish looked like someone just threw a handful of almonds, green beans, and cherry tomatoes on it. Others in our group got a burger and some chicken dish and were equally disappointed. Hoping to end the meal better, I got the bread pudding. It was just as bad. It was extremely dry and had very little flavor or even sweetness. There was no sauce on it to speak of. The meager scoop of vanilla ice cream was the only decent part. Our waiter took 15 minutes to come to our table initially. Then we didn’t see him again until we asked someone else to find him so we could get water refills and dessert. To end the evening, we didn’t get a check. The waiter just told us the amount and asked for our card. To make matters worse, the restaurant smelled like gas stove fumes the whole time. Skip this place.

The rack of ribs I had was way over cooked and the corn on the cobs was obviously frozen without taste during a time when fresh corn is available. I used to like Windy Ridge but find the quality of the food has really dropped in the last year or so. I won’t be going back again.

Maybe just ordered wrong… but $30 salmon super thin and covered with thicker than salmon salty cream sauce. Disappointing.
