Great place for a group dinner! This was our 2nd visit and the calamari is a favorite! We ended up getting 2 orders. One order is a good sized appetizer to share but we loved it so much we needed a second helping. The calamari is crispy, tasty and not greasy with lemon and marinara sauce (I liked it but one person in our group found the marinara a bit too sweet). The artichoke spinach dip came with a big basket of tortilla chips – I liked that the chips were all corn yellow and I found using a fork helped to scoop the dip onto the chip. The bluepoint oysters were very good. The French onion soup is great but awkward to eat while everyone else is sharing the other apps. The coconut shrimp is good but the popcorn shrimp has no fried coating and is covered in a sweet sauce. Tavern salad was large, fresh and could definitely be made into a meal with an added protein. The entrees are ok. The crispy grouper sandwich is a good choice worth ordering again. The meatloaf is two large slices with mashed potatoes and gravy – I enjoyed it but found that there was not enough gravy for 2 slices. The miso salmon is covered in miso that was a little too sweet and the salmon was crispy the first time but not crispy the second time. We do wish they’d offer a higher cut of steak – the flat iron steak is priced to match the rest of the menu but is not the best and they do not serve baked potato. The service is attentive and friendly. We are definitely going back.

I love Windward Tavern! I first discovered Windward Tavern about 10 years ago while on a quest to find fresh raw oysters close to my house and it quickly turned into one of my favorite spots to grab a drink and bite to eat. It is located in your typical suburban shopping plaza and looks like your average tavern but it is actually a hidden gem with great food and cocktails and super friendly staff. At first I was skeptical to order seafood from a place like this since most taverns have mediocre food but I was blown away by the quality of the food and have been coming back for many years to get the raw oysters and fresh tuna. I’ve also tried other things from the menu and never had a bad meal or experience here. Just be aware that the atmosphere here is a little more reserved and quiet since it favors an older crowd so probably not the best place to hang out if you are younger and single.

We Went on a Sunday after church. Sadly the food didn’t taste good and people weren’t welcoming. Not a toddler/baby friendly place. Not sure if we would try again. 3 stars because my husband went by himself to have beer and he said the bar is good.

Found this place on Google maps while on a business trip. I have to start by saying that this place does not have the review it deserves. The food is really great and the service is beyond amazing. Stevie, our server, was very attentive and gave great reviews about the food we were considering. Keith, the manager, walked the floor the whole time checking on tables and making sure that customers were doing well and satisfied. He even checked on the quality of food once we had a chance to taste it. I even saw him check with a customer at the door to make sure someone was taking care of them. I must say that between the service and food you can’t go wrong with paying them a visit.

Great food and great service. The smash burger was absolutely delicious, and so were the sweet potato fries. The only thing that was slightly off was the fish and chips. The fish had a little too much batter. Other than that, we had a great time, and Elle was a very attentive and professional server. We will be back again!

We decided to go again and give it another try with main dishes as opposed to their bar food and it was phenomenal! Stick w the main courses, their fish is to die for!

Fantastic service and food! I had the Cajun chicken pasta and it was phenomenal!!! Very hard to find a good Cajun pasta but they were happy to add a lil extra blackened seasoning to the sauce for me and it was spot on!!! Will definitely return when visiting with family in the area.

Everything was served promptly and the fish and chips was hot and fresh – very decent portion and taste. My wife loves the pot pie here as well.

It’s truly disappointing that this amazing place is located more than an hour away from our home. We find ourselves in this area every week, eagerly searching for similar establishments. Our lunch experience here completely exceeded our expectations. Not only is it a fantastic place for families, but it also caters to little ones, so don’t hesitate to bring your kids along. We were initially drawn here by the outstanding reviews, and it feels only right to contribute our own. Our culinary journey began with the delectable fresh cheese bites, setting us on the perfect path. However, it was the fish and smash burger that truly blew us away. As someone who has savored burgers for three decades, I can confidently say that this one ranks among my top two favorites. My wife shared the same sentiment and was equally impressed. We sincerely appreciate the delightful and scrumptious meal you served our family today. Thank you for filling our hearts and stomachs with pure goodness.

We ate here for the first time today. They have a great cocktail menu with a good of draft beer as well as bottled beers. The Spinach Artichoke Dip was really good with the tortilla chips being thin and crispy but not too thin to dip. The Grouper tacos were excellent. Enough spice to be able to taste it without overpowering all the flavors. The Grouper was perfectly fried with a light delicate crust. The sweet potato fries as a side were wonderful. We will definitely go back. Service was prompt and timely.
