Enjoyable little beach bar. I didn’t get any food, but the liquor selection was solid, the staff was great and the overall atmosphere for a beach bar.

Tony and I went onto Tybee Island for the afternoon! We stopped at the Wind Rose Cafe as our first stop on his Tybee Bar Crawl…but we call it “Hopping” not crawling!!

The place was semi dark with not much natural sunlight so it was cool from 95 degree heat from the beach!
Tony ordered a PBR in a can and I decided on a Sprite w Lemon & Lime slices! The bartender was very friendly and informative!
Definitely recommend to everyone! We stopped here when on the Island!

I can only speak about the pickup services and about their Tuesday Lunch special. Very happy!

The lovely woman on the phone took the order without flaw, and it was ready by the time I walked from our condo literally across the street. The meal came with a drink. We got the turkey and dressing, with collards and mac and cheese. The collards were smoky/porky and cooked so tender they literally melt in your mouth, but not in a mushy way. The Mac and cheese is casserole kind, like with the egg added, not the saucy kind. Dressing was soooo flavorful and moist, heavy on the poultry seasoning, in a very good way, and not overly saged at all. The turkey had a good flavor, a tad dry but honestly whose Turkey doesn’t fall victim to that on occasion, and the generous side of gravy provided the perfect pairing. The meal with tax was right at $12, and I was stuffed and happy to put the box with leftovers in the fridge for snacking on later.

Keep in mind it is strictly 21+, and a smoking establishment, so no kids dining inside. Which is why we just grabbed as to go.

I look forward to trying tomorrow’s lunch special!

This is a cute little place on the beach for a quick bite to eat. I wasn’t super hungry so I just had the shrimp which was good but they give you margarine instead of butter and a couple of the shrimps were overcooked and the shells were stuck to the shrimps.

Service was friendly but not always available, though we did sit outside which is in the back of the restaurant.

The atmosphere was friendly and we had a nice conversation with some ladies at a table across from us.

Overall I was hoping for more out of the place but it wasn’t bad at all

Local dive bar, we went in just for drinks. The staff were friendly, and the drinks were reasonably priced. They were having an event with representatives from the Long Drink company and that was fun. We got to spin the wheel once we bought a Long Drink and we were able to win merchandise. Definitely an old school bar, and strange that they allow smoking inside the bar. The Windrose bar was a great place to stop and get a cold drink after a day at the beach.

We just moved to Tybee and wanted to participate in the Small Business Saturday so we made a visit to the Windrose Bar & Grill on Tybrisa(16th st.) We were provided with great service from Sarah at the bar. Her attention to detail was awesome. I love dive bars and this one had a jukebox so they get 2 thumbs up from me. Come and relax with locals. Cheers

What an absolute gem! Don’t be fooled. This may be a bar but the food doesn’t taste like bar food. It’s much better!

We were walking back from the beach and saw a sign for their taco special so we stopped in.

We split the HUGE 2 taco + chips & salsa platter and also split the spinach artichoke dip with pretzels. Everything was delicious.

The tacos were surprisingly quite large and full of flavor! Chicken, red onion, corn, cheese, and Chipotle mayo. They could not have been better. The salsa was Mexican restaurant quality.

The spinach dip was so creamy and flavorful. We got way more pretzel bites than I anticipated. This was a great appetizer!

We had a very poor restaurant meal the night before so this was much needed and appreciated!

Reasonable prices, large portions, friendly service, fun decor/atmosphere.

10/10…..I would visit again and again!

What a gem when visiting Tybee. I have been to Tybee a few times in the past and found this place on the 1st night we got here this year. We are on day 6 of our vacation now and have been back everyday. The food is without a doubt the best on the island. We had the pleasure of meeting James( the cook) and he really takes pride in the food he is turning out..on our first night there they ran out of the beer that we drank but told us they would have it the next day even though the beer truck doesn’t run and they came through it was there cold waiting on us. We also met the owners while there and I must say was pleasure to get to know them.. and can’t leave out the best bartender during our trip who we referred to as Turbo.. lol..great fun.. everyone needs to try this place just once don’t judge a book by its cover just go in and relax and have a great time.

We were walking around Tybee island and decided to stop in here. Ariel greeted us from the door as we walked by and told us to come on in. We ordered two drinks and some food. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend doing a flavored margarita. The fries had the most amazing seasoning in them.
