Not sure if it’s because it was New Years Eve and not a typical day, but this was the biggest disappointment of our trip. The appetizers were good, but the mains were pretty awful. Steak was from a cheap supermarket. Salmon tasted like cat food. The hotel buffet was much better than the food here. Service was pretty bad too, and we came before they were busy. The place had a 8/10 decor, but that is least important after food and service.

The food isn’t even the best part. We tried MANY things being part of the all-inclusive package at the resort. But two nights in a row, we had the pleasure of having Mario as our waiter and he is SO wonderful. Highly recommend just having met him!!!

I ordered the Red Eye dish for $48. Although it was the most expensive item on the menu, it came with the same decoration and vegetables as the other dishes. Unfortunately, the meat was not cooked to perfection, as I had requested, and it took nearly 30 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy—there were only about five tables occupied. On a positive note, the waitress who served us was very kind and respectful.

I get a $75 voucher for this top five Restaurant in Aruba called Windows on Aruba. I am also an all inclusive DiVi vacation club owner and platinum member. The views are nice if you like golf courses, the ambience is nice romantic music playing overall a nice setting for a romantic dinner. We order appetizers the antipasto for two, which was OK I have had much better. We then order our main entrées my wife orders, a gluten-free penne, la vodka with grilled chicken and I ordered the recommended Veal chops. The food arrives our waitress or server. Her name was Valentina very nice and professional. I mentioned that is our anniversary. We are provided with congratulations your anniversary and we order our drinks fast-forward 15-20 minutes our entrées arrive and my wife proceeds to start eating her penne à la vodka with grilled chicken one thing to mention the grilled chicken was not included in the dish was a separate serving with grilled chicken, and my Veal chops came with a risotto with broccolini and asparagus. To be honest too much lime, which took away the flavor of the risotto and the Veal chops were tough. My wife after five minutes of eating, realizes that her penne vodka not only looks different but tastes different. This was white similar to Alfredo sauce at which point we ask Valentina to check because we don’t believe this is the right order. Let me remind you this is one of those restaurants rated top five in the island and my wife has a gluten allergy. Valentina comes back and mentions that they made a mistake in the kitchen and they served it anyway instead of just addressing the mistake. The manager came to apologize her name was Yasmina and comped us my wife’s mistaken, entrée as well as two glasses of wine and dessert. At this point, we thought OK well mistakes happen but this should not be the case at A top 5 location with significant health implications. We were assured this has never happened before. My wife decided not to eat anymore food as she was afraid that the food was contaminated with gluten, and she was not convinced that it was something she should continue eating. When the bill came and I went to pay the bill I provided the voucher from the hotel when I provided the voucher the server, Valentina took out the amount of the voucher and brought back the rest of the check at which point I went to charge it to my room, and this is where the saga begins again. I was notified that I needed to provide them proof that I was staying at the place that I was staying, in the room that I was staying at and that I have the ability to charge to this room. I mentioned the hotel that I was staying at made the reservation the voucher that I was using was granted by the hotel and I was wearing wristbands that prove that I’m staying at the hotel. I’m not sure why this was needed. They said this was their policy and that they needed that or a credit card. I asked to speak to the manager, as I didn’t understand this process since we’ve been to three other restaurants, Seabreeze, Mulligan’s and others on the property and nobody asked for this proof. it seems People have been charging meals to different room numbers and signing different names and this is their new policy which I’m not saying they should not have a policy. I’m saying that this policy should be made Public before you book your reservation or at the time of the booking and not something sprung up on you when you go to pay the bill. Of course I did not have this card which they were asking for that proves all this information. I’m then told that if you’re checking out the next day, you cannot charge to your room again some new policy that you’re not made aware of at the time of booking your reservation. After the voucher of $75 and having my wife’s entrée comped, 2 desserts comped and two glasses of wine comped, the bill was still $132. This seems extremely high for the value that you’re getting. To be honest, I was not impressed with the quality of the food. I was not impressed with The service and I was not impressed with the whole fiasco.

Lovely restaurant for special occasions or a fancy date. The view is beautiful.
My parents and I ate here for their anniversary. Our waitress Mildred was friendly and attentive.
Upon arrival to our table, we were welcomed with complimentary mimosas and a personalized greeting card. I thought that was so sweet and made my parents anniversary celebration extra special
We had the tuna tataki for appetizer, it was flavorful and delicious. My main dish was the Filet Mignon which I enjoyed as well. Decent portion. The Creme Brulee was good too.
Overall, had a wonderful dining experience. Nice atmosphere + good food + nice staff. Highly recommended 🙂

We had brunch (@ $55 pp). Food was good in the beginning and the later it got the lower the quality became. It was almost as if the food was kept hot in steam tables and then served when ordered. Saving grace was the unlimited supply of champagne and mimosas as well as the deserts. Service was good and attentive.

We just got back from having an absolutely incredible time at Windows. Mario was our server at the start and he was our family at the end. He suggested my meal and it was in the top 3 I have ever had in my life. That compliment can also be shared with the chef. It was a luck of the draw that we were paired with Mario but it was truly meant to be. Thank you Windows, Mario and chefs for making tonight so special.
