Outstanding experience at Windmill in West End. The food was exactly what you want every time you go out hot, fresh, and consistently excellent. The atmosphere was welcoming without feeling forced, and the entire operation ran smoothly even during a busy rush.
Alex delivered attentive, professional service and stayed ahead of every need without hovering. Sean kept everything moving efficiently and made sure the experience never slowed down. Shawn brought genuine energy and professionalism that made the visit stand out from a typical night out. The teamwork between them was obvious and made the service feel seamless.
Staff like this turn a good restaurant into a place worth returning to regularly. Reliable food, strong service, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do.

Viva la Windmill! EXCELLENT cheese fries, terrific chili cheese dog, & friendly service. Used to come here as a teen in the 70’s, but haven’t been in 30, 35 years now..

Just the best! Decided to stop here for lunch around 1:30pm, and the daytime workers there were incredible. My food was made fast and delicious, and I had a great time talking to the two employees working. Excellent customer service and I will be back!!

I’ve been coming to the Windmill for thirty years. I am a Michigan girl who married a Jersey boy. It’s always my first stop when we come back to visit. The absolute best hotdogs and fries around. The chicken bites, bacon cheeseburgers and cheese fries are amazing too. The service is incredible every time! Sean and Tyshawn are the best!!

Pulled up late night and the people working were the most fun and inviting. Super nice staff and so chill. The hot dogs were a good amount of snap and one of the best in all of the east coast (we wont mention chicago). Vibes are elite.

Windmill has been a fixture of the shore for I think over 60 years. It’s certainly older than me and I remember being driven by here as a child and always being wowed by the actual windmill itself. I didn’t care for these type of hot dogs when I was a kid, but as an adult I can appreciate them more. They have a strong snap to them but the beef flavor to me is a bit lacking. This is why I tend to use toppings like relish, sauerkraut and mustard. The cheese fries are excellent though, but you have to eat them quickly before the cheese starts to dissolve the potatoes. All in all an excellent place.

Made the trip for the grand re opening of this location. On this day they offered the Bogo special, which is a lot of product to say the least. This monster of a hot dog doesn’t fit the bun. No disguise, I had just a plain hot dog and that’s all is needed. Ton of snap and flavor with this hot dog. The grilled bun brings it all together. I will add this to Scary Good Eats App.

THE BEST WINDMILL!! Shawn, Shawn and Alex were amazing. I had 2 very hungry kiddos and they were so good about getting the kids orders done quickly with a smile!! On a dark chilly winter night they were definitely a bright spot!! Food, as always was fantastic!
