Went in to get dinner. Was seated told the specials. Our server walked away. We waited for her to come back. She never did. After 20 minutes of waiting we decided to leave as she never even brought us water. Go elsewhere!!

The Navy lodge has definitly slowed down over the years and you can see that when visiting. That being said the staff are always positive and personal and it still beats going to crowded Ocean Shores. The Windjammer is always a fun mix of people including locals, retired military and active duty. Come enjoy a slower side of life and relax and in the peacefulness of Pacific Beach.

Breakfast was delicious. Omelet, breakfast sandwich, eggs, bacon, pancakes. They were out of biscuits so that was the only let down. Adorable Halloween decorations and free pool table. A couple big tvs also.

It’s an alright place to eat. Typical 90’s small town northwest eatery’s which is a very good thing for me. The food was alright. My wife got the 1/3 burger. Decent salad with it but the burger was small, probably smaller than a cheeseburger from McD’s, just over decorated with condiments. My friend for the fish n chips. Quite delicious, fries were perfectly seasoned. I had the 4 cheese tortellini. First impression was delicious, but then flavor got boring the more you eat it. I started to hate it and now that I keep thinking about the flavor, I want to barf. The aroma or flavoring technique was over complicated. Just keep it simple and clean, no need to impress a Gordon Ramsay.

Our server was energetic, talkative, insanely friendly. Greeted us well, ID’d us legitimately. Makes me mad sometimes when bartenders just glance over them. He reminded me of Steve O from JackA$$, so outgoing, loud, smiling constantly and overall delivered the perfect service. I loved every part of it. As we left, we gave us a good luck call on the razor clam digging we were attending to.

I’ll definitely come back, maybe just for the fish n chips LOL!

I promise you will not be disappointed by the Calm Chowder Sour Dough Bowl. Great fish and chips too. Very friendly staff. We family of 8 couldn’t have picked a better place for dinner.

I wasnt sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. We had dinner 2 different days and breakfast one day. The breakfast portions were decent for the price but my potatoes and English muffin tasted of grill grease and not the good kind. A lot of items on the menu were not available, but the biscuits and gravy were decent. Those were large biscuits. Hillbilly Benedict was ok too. The fish and chips was really done well both nights we had that and the fries were good too. The fish was not hard or overcooked but just right so 5 stars for that dish. Onion rings were also really good, side salad was nicely prepped. Clam chowder was creamy and thick. A little salty but with crackers you probably wouldn’t notice. The brisket dip was pretty good. We were all happy with that. (We shared meals) Portions were huge compared to what we are used to around Seattle area and a lot cheaper, so for the price the dinner items were good quality, tasted good, and were generous. The breakfasts would have been rated higher for us if it weren’t for the kind of chemical taste of the grill grease. Bacon was perfect. Giving it 5 stars because for what this place is we felt it delivered well and the staff were all very nice. We were glad to not have to bring a bunch of groceries with us. We did both dine in and take out and had good experience with both.

The Windjammer Restaurant & Lounge is located inside the Pacific Beach Resort & Conference Center, which is a Navy Lodge. But this restaurant is accessible for everyone, and you don’t need a military identification card to get access. This is a small restaurant and bar, that offers visitors a small and simple menu. We decided to order a few takeout orders during our stay, and we really enjoyed their fish and chips.

The staff were very patient of our large group with a few loud kids, and helped us get food quickly. The first plate came out in 5 minutes! And the chowder was excellent.

Teresa made the experience magical. Her charm and grace soothed our weary soul. Cannot recommend high enough. They only give me five stars.
