Win Urbandale Bowl!!! It was a quaint but charming little establishment with a small Asian market to the left. Aye Wyn “hence the name” and Mrs. Ninni were more then happy to answer any questions while preparing the freshest sushi, poke bowls, rice, Raven and noodle dishes. They are an adorable couple from Burma.
We ordered the tempura shrimp sushi burrito. It is wrapped in the seaweed wrap if you are wondering. It’s was excellent, the even add a tiny bit of wasabi inside. Chicken fried noodles (medium, but beware they were a little hot). Fresh ingredients, with shredded cucumber and a bit spicy for medium. I think my nose is still running. Shrimp + beef rice bowl was delicious with green beans, onions, fantastic rice and shrimp (tail on) and I added beef. It was fantastic, so much flavor, perfect combination of flavor and texture. The crunchy California roll minus crunchy onions, added crunchy rice per there recommendation. I love onion, my bf died not. It’s was a great compromise. Pictures below.
Everything was absolutely on point. The gave us complimentary Boba tea as well. They are open to feedback as they are trying to learn the customer base in Iowa as they’ve only been open since August.
PLEASE PLEASE DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY! The dream is to get bigger and bigger and have a full restaurant bar. Let help them make it happen.
Did I mention our bill was $39. You know Wasabi would have been $80 plus.
Run, don’t walk…. I can’t wait to tell everyone about this place.

Driven by this place many times on my way to and from work and decided to stop in for lunch today! I had the Spicy California Roll for $6.99. Great choice for a work day lunch – light and very fresh. I watched the owner make my roll to order, which was another plus! Very clean establishment, plenty of parking, and many yummy looking options on the menu, with a small selection of groceries to boot. The owners are also very friendly and clearly very proud of their product. Excited to have a new spot for lunch on the days I don’t pack anything from home!

We stopped here for lunch and had a great meal! I had the grilled salmon bowl, and my friends had the tempura shrimp bowl and another bowl. My bowl was GOOD. The grilled salmon was delicious, and I was impressed with how much of the toppings you get and how much sauce there was. (Some poke bowls are way too dry with a ton of rice and not much sauce and toppings—not these bowls!) Good balance, every bite was good. I ate it so fast I almost forgot to take a picture, but the bowl was full to the top. They’re definitely not skimping.
Boba was also really good! I was pleasantly surprised. Boba tasted fresh, and the strawberry milk tea was yummy.
Good amount of seating if you’re eating in the restaurant, and lots of parking in the strip mall.
The owners were super nice and talked with us a little—they’ve been open two months and previously worked at another sushi place. I hope they succeed because the food is delicious! They also have a little Asian grocery market with buldak, rice, and other food.
Highly recommend it! If we worked near here, would be a great place to grab lunch.

I tried here for the first time, and I wish I would have tried it sooner! The couple who owns and works the restaurant are so charming and kind. The food is absolutely amazing. It tastes very fresh and delicious. I tried the salmon sushi burrito, and my husband had the salmon poke bowl. Both are winners! They have some poke bowls made up for grab-and-go too, so that’s convenient! I feel like it’s incredibly affordable too for what you get. We spent $25 total. 10/10 would recommend, and I will absolutely be coming back.

Went for a vegetarian poke bowl, and though they didn’t have one advertised, they were happy to prepare one for me from scratch with tofu.
There was a slight language barrier; so complicated ordering was challenging.
Might be hard to communicate vegan, as they dressed my bowl with a quite tasty creamy sauce, maybe it’s a yumyum sauce?
They also had a retail section with food goods, and I was able to get a snack and a drink.
Spent $23 all together.
Would definitely return!

Incredibly kind people making great, affordable food. My partner and I got 3 entrees for $30 (a bowl of ramen, a poke bowl, and an 8 piece Spicy California Roll.) It was all really good.
I was really impressed by their wide assortment of food served — they serve sushi, poke, ramen, and even bowls with curry in them. Nothing is expensive or overpriced. The business seems to be run entirely by a husband and wife pair. When I accidentally mixed some wasabi into my food without realizing what it was, they offered to remake it for me, free of charge. I tried to tip them when I left, and they refused.
Kind people don’t really run restaurants or businesses successfully anymore — almost all of the market has been gobbled up by greed. I wish there were more businesses like this. If you’re interested in eating good food or supporting local business, I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try!

Brand new place, really unassuming, but they were so nice, the food smelled so good, the prices are great. They gave our kids samples of the noodles and wontons, and they went wild for them. We ordered three sushi rolls and they’re all so delicious. Made fresh.
We live on the other side of town, but we will drive out of our way to go here again.

Absolutely amazing food, I got the Chef Special #2, Pork Noodles, and my mom got the Pork Ramen. The Chef gave us samples of the sushi and was very sweet. His wife (I assume) was super sweet to us and made sure we got everything we needed and offered us Chili for our dishes. The sushi was super fresh fish and it really gave me a taste of Japan again. I haven’t found a sushi/ ramen spot that’s reminded me of Japan so well! Overall amazing food, great atmosphere, and super friendly staff! Can’t wait to go back!!
