Ordered a cheese burger and fries. Old school burger, nothing fancy. I really liked it. The fries, on the other hand, they were not my favorite. Not crispy or soft middle, very al dente. If I were in the area, I would come back for the burger. Just fyi, this is strictly cash and to go orders only.

Ok so a little backstory. I have seen this place ever since I went to school at Thomas Edison / Dallas environmental science academy back in 96-98. I have never eaten there till yesterday. The first thing I asked the older lady and younger man was if they were there during that time. She told me they owned it for the last 20 years but overall the business was there for like 70 years or so.
So we arrived almost around the time they closed and we got the bacon cheeseburger basket. The fries were fresh as well as the lettuce tomatoes etc. The burger overall was decent towards the end the bun had absorbed the juice so it started falling apart which wasn’t a bad thing, seemed like it tasted better that way. I personally would go back and order it again and probably try some other stuff as well.

This place evokes nostalgic memories from my childhood when we used to come here on Sundays for burgers and root beer floats. The burgers still maintain their juiciness, made with real ground beef patties and topped with fresh ingredients. The fries are made from real peeled potatoes, not the frozen kind.

4/22/2023 4:45pm This review is based solely from the Food taste. I have NEVER had fish this bad. It literally tasted like NOTHING. I added salt, ketchup, tried to eat it with a piccle, & NOTHING helped. The batter felt rubberery. I don’t know about the other food but the fish is garbage juice. ♂️ ESPECIALLY for $12.99 I coukda easily spent $3 with McDonald’s & got SO much more quality food. Lesson learned.

Old fashioned hamburgers like they’re supposed to be. It’s Whataburger before it went all corporate. Highly recommend this place if you’re down the street or in the area “Stop By”. They got cheap and good food and it’s fast!

2026 I’lI dont know what changed but burger patty doesnt taste freshly grilled. The fries aren’t crunchy anymore. Soggy fries. Go back to old receipt. 2020 5 star review. Great cheeseburger with bacon. Backyard grill style!

I was very confused. This was not what my family and friends expected. My uncle had to get a link basket so bad and fish sandwich. Service: Cash only people or no service. The burger is an upgrade from MC Donalds but no taste. It reminds me of a food truck so what atmosphere? There was none just rub your body with oil and fry under the sun cause there is dinning in. Unless sitting in your cars ac counts. The fish was nasty mystery fish fried. Could be cod. I suggest they post it. Know who you serve people . Links grilled and over cooked. Yes you guess wont return. I watch the family pick at their food with no hope.

I went for the first time to try since I seen the reviews and assumed that it was good but you guessed wrong the burger was so soggy and oily the fries where not cook right and oily as well. Will definitely not go back.

I ordered a double cheeseburger and it was really good. The owners were really nice. You just order at the window and then bring it out to your car. I do recommend it if you’re in the area and wanna grab a quick bite.
