Me and my family moved to Meriden roughly 3 years ago and we were trying to find a place to make a delicious Italian pizza.. and this is the spot! We also tried deep fried calzone.. amazing! They have many different food choices as well. Great prices, delicious food, and awesome staff/owner. One of our kids favorite spots to go.

As a visitor from England, my wife and I stopped by One Eyed Willy’s Seafood Shack in Meriden, CT on a friend’s recommendation – and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, the owner and bar staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The service was excellent and made us feel right at home, even from across the pond. The place has a fun, quirky pirate theme that adds a great vibe – complete with a pirate statue and plenty of nautical décor that gives it loads of character.
Now, let’s talk about the food – wow! We started with an order of wings, and I can honestly say they were the best wings I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce, they’re now the gold standard I’ll judge all wings by. We also shared a pizza, which was top-notch – delicious crust and generous toppings, easily ranking among the best we’ve had. Our friend, who recommended the place, ordered the clams – and they looked fantastic. He really enjoyed them, and you could tell they were fresh and full of flavor.
One of the highlights for me was the drink called the “Beach Bum” – a refreshing and smooth combo of Kona Big Wave and Mango Cart beers. It was the perfect pairing for our meal and felt like summer in a glass. ☀️
The whole experience was relaxed, fun, and full of personality. We had such a great time, and without a doubt, we’ll be back again on our next visit to the USA. Huge thanks to the team at One Eyed Willy’s – you made our trip even more memorable.

My family and I were visiting some friends in Connecticut last week. We ate at One Eyed Willy’s on October 6,2024.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and welcomed. The staff is very friendly & the food is just delicious!
My husband had the biscuits and gravy, my kids had the catfish with grits & homemade Mac & cheese with fries, and I had a lobster bisque with a lobster roll.
The portions are a good size. We had leftovers but in all honesty, we’re used to big portions and didn’t expect the portions to be that much lol. It was awesome! We ate just about every single crumb off every plate. My husband & one of my kids had a bit of leftover food only because they were both so full & I got full with poking at their plates after I finished mine because it was that good.
It’s obvious that the food is made with love. We even got to taste a sample of a new menu item that will be offered in the near future. That too was delicious and we left with happy bellies.
This place is kid friendly & we cannot wait to return for another visit just to eat their food. They even serve adult beverages. These Texans HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for everyone!

Absolutely DELICIOUS!
Highly recommend the Lobster STUFFED Garlic Knots (as you can see in the picture). These were amazing! The lobster was perfect and putting it in Garlic Knots was the Sprinkles on top! We also had the Gator bites which were by far the best Gator bites I’ve ever tasted. They were seasoned perfectly! I cannot wait to continue to enjoy other menu options.
The owner is well known as he’s had other successful food establishments in the area as well as surrounding cities. He is down to earth and extremely professional. He loves his customers and is always open to feedback and/or correcting any issues should you have one.
If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a must try.
Ps. They offer more than just seafood as well.

They were running out of food but that’s awesome for a new restaurant in Meriden. We managed to order a lobster roll and a lobster BOMB. Both were FULL of lobster meat. The bread on both were delicious as well. Another enthusiastic customer shared that his burger was also superb so I will add that as well.

My sister asked me if I wanted some BBQ. I said sure! Now I should’ve known better than to get BBQ from a spot that is “supposedly “ supposed to be selling seafood Yet I’ll give establishments a shot. Never again. The brisket was dry, the potato salad had NO seasoning and so for the collard greens as well.

Stopped by twice recently. First time for a burger which was solid. Then I came back for a fish taco and it was really good as well. Owner and staff were really friendly. Kitchen was very clean and the inside finishes are done really well and feels comfortable. Prices are fair for the quality of the food. Will be a go to lunch spot anytime I pass by. Thanks.

Would like to say that this place is top notch .as well as dynamite food. And if you like seafood this is the place. If you want a great burger this is the place. O and if you want great and I mean great pizza this is the place. It’s a one stop shop eatery.also as a add bonus they have a nice bar area if you just want a night cap or day. I also want to praise the owners. There excellent customers services, they talk with there customers and make them feel welcome.

I made my first trip last Tuesday and loved it. I had the fried shrimp platter and it was delicious. Everything is fresh. I have no doubt that everything else on the menu is good. I will be going again soon.
