Went to the zoo near by so decided to stop in and give this place a whirl… The steak tips were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning.. Would definitely recommend them… The house made onion rings were amazing.. coleslaw and the clam chowder was good as well
The not so good.. The shrimp was either frozen or old as they was soggy/chewy .. The meat brisket tacos was mushy .. Great service.. Pam was fantastic

Review updated, based on their comments. Most people do not save credit card receipts, I really wish I did in this case.
You stated the cash price is lower, which is ultimately a way to charge a credit card fee.
And the credit card fee is way more than you pay to process a credit card.
First off beware of the fee to pay with a credit card. Not posted anywhere, didn’t notice it until I signed the credit card receipt. Also unless they have a horrible payment processing company, the fee is more than what they actually pay.
My wife had the tavern steak tips and enjoyed them.
I had the seafood trio. The haddock was amazing! The shrimp and scallops were good, however some of both were very overcooked. Stuffing was nothing special.
Overall food was good and service was decent. We planned on visiting again. After seeing the hidden credit card fee the next day, probably not. Especially since when the server handed me the check, I said I’m sure it’s good and handed her it back with my card. She said there’s nothing extra on it.

Im so happy my husband and I found this place. We visit Southwick’s Zoo once or twice a year. We have a place to go eat now. We had steak tips they were so tender and flavorful, and baked seafood it was also good, great breadcrumb topping.

Stopped here for dinner after attending the Winter Wonderland at the Southwick Zoo. Service was great! Everyone stopped to comment on our beautiful grandbaby. Food was excellent all around! We will definitely come back again when in the area!

My extended family of 16 had Easter dinner in the Boat Room yesterday! We had the entire room to ourselves and Alex was our exclusive waitress/care-person! She was very organized, attentive and friendly ! She provided everything we needed to enjoy a great meal and experience! The food was tasty, generous with so many choices! Linen tablecloths and pretty lighted table decor added elegance to the Easter tables! I recommend Willow Brook! Thank You!

This was just a spur of the moment restaurant that we came across on Mothers day and decided to see if we could get a seat. To our surprise they had a table available and was so glad we choose this place. Food was fantastic, staff went out of there way for you. Very nice rustic atmosphere, will most definitely back. Have told many about it.
