Social Profile:

Willow at Mirbeau is open to the public seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Our menus draw inspiration from French bistro cuisine and are infused with the agricultural heritage of the Hudson Valley to deliver you in-season, sustainable, and locally sourced dishes featuring produce from multi-generational farms, emergent food artisans, and craft distillers. Reflective of Mirbeau’s spa atmosphere, our Willow restaurant experience offers that same feeling of getting away to a private Parisian estate. The dining room is classically elegant and the outdoor patio, which is heated during the colder months, is the perfect setting for a relaxed night out or a special occasion. Attire is casual and refined.

VEGAN DINNER and a good dinner for all.

Party of 6, we came for dinner after a busy Saturday at the Sheep and Wool Festival. We had a reservation and were seated with no wait. It’s a very comfortable space and not noisy, so we were able to talk.

As a vegan, rarely get a coherent meal at a restaurant. So this was a pleasant surprise. Two of our six ordered and enjoyed the vegan Autumn Bowl of lentils with root vegetables.

We enjoyed the crispy artichokes. Well executed. Sauce was spicy and enjoyed.

Our party enjoyed Willow Salmon with fennel orange salad: delish!;
Pan Seared Trout was enjoyed;
Duck breast was enjoyed.
We got a bottle of red wine and cocktails.
I enjoyed a strawberry margarita.

■We all had a good meal and a good time.■

Considering that the restaurant was not full, we felt the service was Slow.
All the staff were very nice.

Parking lot under the facility is large and adequate. Especially nice in rain and cold weather.
Bathroom was clean.

A Note about the Autumn Bowl:
It is priced at $34 (all inexpensive components: lentils, carrots and squash) while the Mirbeau Burger (8 Oz CAB expensive Beef with bun, cheese, onions, portobello mushrooms, bordelaise, field greens and fries) is priced at only $28!
Also, the vegan Gelato is priced at $3 more than the regular Gelato. Why?
The pricing doesn’t make sense and I think it should be re-evaluated.

I’m grateful and appreciative for the vegan options.
It’s not easy to find a coherent vegan meal in Rhinebeck NY, and this is one of the best, in a very comfortable space.

Had brunch here for the first time wirh family. There were 6 of us. We made reservations and were seated promptly. Hostess and servers were friendly and efficient. All 6 meals were very good and my 75 year old “foodie” brother in law said it was the best French toast he had ever eaten! The French toast is made with frangipane (almond paste) and brioche bread and whipped vanilla butter, fresh berries and local maple syrup. My eggs Benedict came with potatoes and salad. My wife’s omlette was delicious. Highly recommend.

We came to Willow at Mirbeau for a Sunday brunch before Christmas, largely because the restaurant advertises live music on its website. Unfortunately, there was no music at all, and it turns out this has been discontinued without the website being updated. Since we came from New York City, about two hours away, that was genuinely disappointing. Service was friendly but slow, mostly on the kitchen and bar side rather than the waitstaff. The dining room itself is very comfortable, old-money in feel, and slightly old-fashioned in a way that suits the hotel.

Food-wise, the experience was mixed. The chef’s omelette was excellent, and the alcohol-free cucumber cocktail called Spa Day was very good as well. The Harvest Grain Bowl, however, lacked imagination and proper dressing and felt more assembled than thoughtfully prepared. Overall, it was a pleasant visit and the hotel handled families well, but the brunch did not live up to the reputation of Mirbeau, especially given the missing live music. Because of that, I can’t give Willow at Mirbeau more than three stars.

The very best duck I ever ate. We enjoyed an incredible dinner. cream of zuchini soup, roasted brussel sprouts, filet mignon, and duck breast. An D’Orange creame brulee and a carrot cake cheesecake. The service was absolutely excellent. The atmosphere in front of the fire. Willow is definitely a great place to grab dinner!

After a yoga class at the Mirbeau fitness studio, I had breakfast at Willow. I had the Willow breakfast. I requested soft scrambled eggs and they delivered. The eggs were delicious, the sausage had good flavor, the sourdough was perfectly buttered and toasted. The baby potatoes had a nice crispy outside. The service was exceptional, our server checked in on us several times. The only thing that was missing to make my breakfast perfect was a matcha latte, l’d love to see them offer this in the future.

Terrible experience today for Thanksgiving Day. No parking available and we had to wait 20 minutes to get an open spot. The reservation was for my sister and I. My sister wasn’t feeling all that great, so I ordered food just for me and I asked the waitress to make it to go. She said she would give me a box to put the dessert, since it was buffet type. I asked for the check and proceeded to the desserts table. This man rushed next to me and tells me that “the desserts are not to go.” Like, we just did not sit through the meal but I ordered it to go and you mean I’m not supposed to take my dessert to go even though I paid for it? I ordered it to go. He had no clue as to what happened. Like, how is dry looking pastries going to hurt your bottom line? The only thing positive was that the waitress was pleasant.

Good food in with excellent ambience. The grain bowl was delicious and very well presented and prepared, and a healthy size portion, with delicious Catsmo Salmon.
The service was over the top rude and inattentive.
An hour an 15 min from the time one of us finished her appetizer until we all got our lunches. When we asked about the wait we weee met with a belligerent attitude.
It was not exceptionally busy.
I understand the Forbes standard of service. This was not that.
I had also had dinner there two weeks prior and had a very good duck dinner and service, while my partners meal was mediocre.
The prior Easter, I had brunch with a friend and we enjoyed it very much.
Not a fan of dining in the restaurant in our spa robes while the public is coming into the same room to dine.
A little cafe area for spa guest to dine would be preferable.

Don’t typically leave reviews, but there are far too many negatives reviews for Willow. Our experience was wonderful. Wonderful service, food excellent (everything from Caesar salad, focaccia bread service to mains – chicken and special of Halibut). 100% recommend!

The food was great! A tad slow but no problem we were more than understanding.
