Great first time dining experience here on a weekday late morning. I ordered the western omelette and was satisfied with it. Good portions for a reasonable price. The waitress provided excellent service. Friendly and efficient service was appreciated. The restaurant was fairly quiet and comfortable to dine at.

The burger and fries were delicious. I also got a cranberry chicken salad, the dressing was a little bland, but that would not stop me from going to this spot again. The service was stellar, the atmosphere was very cool and the pricing was reasonable. I would go there again.

I have been coming in here for about a year now, lately the past 3 months my wife and I go in 2 or sometimes 3 times a week. Excellent service like usual. The food taste excellent in my opinion. I do have something to say my wife noticed in the past month or so. We had always been helped by the waitresses, but there is one out of all that stands out. The hispanic lady named Agustina that she bust her butt off then any other person in the restaurant. We asked her yesterday if she was the manager and then she said no and pointed out who was the manager. We were shocked. We have seen that lady in a couple times and I honestly thought she was she was a regular customer, so we asked for the owner but she said she wasn’t there. We wanted to let the owner know how much of a hard working person Agustina is. I would recommend her being the Manager. She treats everyone like family. No offense to the manager but she just doesn’t do anything like Agustina. If I were the owner, paying my employees I guess the hour is like example: paying another $10 bucks extra the hour for the other person (current manager) just to look at the floor fron the back and be on the phone, or give this hard working lady another $6 dollars the hour and pocketing $5 more dollars for my self. I dont know, Im not throwing bad vibez or wishing anything bad to the current manager, all Im saying this Hispanic lady needs a raise one way or another. Her service is just on point. Everything in that restaurant is absolutely great. Excellent.

#2 stop for the biscuits and gravy challenge led me to Willie’s on North Anthony by Wooden Nickel.
Willies doesn’t regularly offer a half order of biscuits and gravy. Their full order is two full biscuits with gravy and two eggs for $8.99.
They sometimes have a daily deal that is off menu, which I asked for today. It’s a half order of biscuits and gravy with sausage or bacon and two eggs any style for $7.99.
The three strips of bacon were nice and crispy without being overdone. I asked for my two eggs over easy. They were pretty close, but a little bit over.
And now for the reason you’re actually here.
This biscuits and gravy is beyond similar to the one I had this weekend in a previous post. The biscuit was spongy, but not flaky at all. The gravy wasn’t bad, and it was plenty meaty, but not anything all that exciting.
I did talk to one of the kitchen guys and he said they break up fresh sausage in their gravy. I don’t know if that means they are using pre-made gravy, but it kind of sounds like it.
I told him I really miss the silky smooth gravy from when they were in the previous location. It’s nowhere near the same flavor or quality.
The breakfast here is really good and a decent value. I just think they miss the mark for the standalone biscuits and gravy.
Every time I’ve eaten here, everything comes out hot and fresh. I really like their all meat skillet with gravy on top.
I have not had any of the lunch foods here, so I have no input on that.

This was my first visit to Willie’s Cafe. It is extremely clean inside and seemed to have a lot of regulars dining in. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only knock on the experience was that it took a LONG time to get our food. Maybe it was because they were busy or there was a new cook working. Other than that, the food was good and the prices are fair.

A really pleasant lunch experience. The food was very good, piping hot and exactly as ordered. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. The diner was updated and very clean. I will definitely be back to try some of their other options rather than the breakfast I had for lunch. p.s. The breakfast did come with toast, but I’m gluten free so they offered me several options other than bread.

Willie’s Family Restaurant was delicious. My skillet made it to the table 5 minutes after I put in my order. The eggs were cooked perfectly! I asked for my potatoes crispy and there was crunch on every bite. I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of onions to the potatoes and the trio of bacon, ham, and sausage was very nice. I think what sets this skillet apart from other restaurants is that they use ground breakfast sausage. The interior decorations look like they haven’t been changed in a couple decades but you know what they say “If It Ain’t Broke”. As long as the kitchen keeps producing delicious breakfast, I’ll keep coming back.
