Flavorful and authentic Texas BBQ. How can you get better than that? Well, you serve it with scratch made sides and breads from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. With a combination of knowledge and family traditions passed down from generation to generation, we have created a culture that doesn’t allow for shortcuts, while putting our very own spin on the latest trends. We put our customers first, we honor authentic Texas BBQ, and we allow your taste buds to also take a vacation to the islands in every bite you savor. We call that a trifecta that brings you and your family a one of a kind of experience you will undoubtedly enjoy.

The jerk chicken here is life changing! The meat fell off the bones and it was juicy. I also loved the jerk chicken patty. I love the variety of sauces they offer. The Trinidad XXX sauce has a nice kick to it. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. This is a foodie paradise worth traveling to experience.
For those who love high quality Texas BBQ but are timid about trying more ethnic cuisines like Caribbean, this is a great “fusion” and you won’t be disappointed or overwhelmed. For those who are experienced with Caribbean cuisine including people who have travelled there, this restaurant will make your tummy happy.
EDIT: after experiencing the incredible food here I had to go back and try more items as well as learn about the history of the restaurant.
They have off menu items on Sunday’s. I tried the Chicken Pelau (Trinidad version of Chicken Biryani) which blew my mind. I wish they would serve this everyday.
This restaurant which opened in February 2022 is the brainchild of Willie Meshack Jr and his wife Roberta. Willie Meshack Sr ran a franchise of traditional Texas BBQ restaurants across the Dallas area in the 70’s and 80’s (their flagship restaurant still operates in Garland). Roberta’s family runs Caribbean restaurants in the Dallas area. That’s how this incredible fusion restaurant came into existence.
I’ve been to over a 100 Michelin star restaurants and I think this place is worth consideration for that accolade for their creativity and execution.

Wow! Caribbean infused Texas BBQ. Service was amazing, food portions were huge. The flavor was incredible. The Jerk Chicken with the BBQ Jerk sauce was my favorite new thing to try. The brisket, jalapeno sausage, and ribs were on point. Can’t recommend enough.

The brisket sandwich was DELICIOUS! I loved the taste of coleslaw in the sandwich as well. Very friendly service too. I wish I’m local so I can go back there on a regular basis! Y’all should give this place a try! You will love it!!!

Wow. Seriously all I can say. Every time we come to Dallas we want to try different BBQ joints. Noticed this had all 5 Star reviews but not many. Decided to see if it was a fluke or legit. 100% Legit! Jerk Wings, Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage, Brisket, and Honey Hog Bites (pork belly burnt ends). Everything was amazing.
Met the owners and “Grandpa” and they were great hosts. Was like we were at a BBQ in their backyard. This will be the first BBQ place in Dallas that will for sure get a repeat visit.

So dang good. The brisket was very tender and flavorful, better than the “local” bbq joints. I got the brisket sandwich and my mate got sliced brisket and jerk chicken. Loved the Trinidad bread that was used for the sandwich. Happy they had homemade chips. Will definitely be coming back. Please support this restaurant.

I was recommended this place by Michael from the ATI physical therapy clinic that is nearby, where I have been going after knee surgery. He said that the jerk chicken was really good. Since my wife and I stopped by Jamaica while on a cruise last year and tried the jerk chicken there at Scotchies, we wanted to see how it compared.
NO COMPARISON!!!
The jerk chicken at Willie’s is delicious and juicy. I liked dipping it in their Three Pepper sauce that has a little kick.
We had the three meat plate (we chose the lean brisket, pork ribs, and the aforementioned jerk chicken), mac & cheese, fried okra, and an order of Hog Bites (pork belly). Everything was wonderful and the staff was very nice. Even the lean brisket (which we have tried at other places and was disappointingly dry) was fork tender and moist.
We are definitely planning on returning and bringing our friends and family. Next time we want to try the brisket sandwich and the loaded baked potato that Michael also recommended!

My wife and I tried Willie Meshack’s BBQ for lunch today. It’s near Central Market in Plano and clearly stands at the top of all BBQ joints in Plano! We ordered 1/2-lb of sliced brisket–tender, moist, flavorful, passed the pull test, had great bark and smoke ring. Also ordered 1/2-lb of their pork ribs–similarly tender, tasty, expertly cooked, and great bark. My wife got the brisket sandwich served on their homemade Trinidadian bread topped with coleslaw, Memphis style–very tasty and had a little bite to it. For sides we ordered potato salad which we both enjoyed. It contained corn and peas, too. Having eaten at every BBQ joint in North Texas, their sides (potato salad and coleslaw) were definitely the best of all the other establishments. Willie Meshacks is bright, clean, welcoming, and friendly. There’s ample parking immediately outside. We’ll be back!!!

Holy shizzle! It’s awesome. Spent a good number of years in Texas, and feel my grasp on what’s good, what’s so-so, and what’s not, is decent and fair. Tried the beef rib (lovely bark, strong pink smoked ring, and the meat fell off the rib as it was picked up – very moist too, delicious); also tried the lean and moist brisket (again, great flavor, coloring and bark, and even got a nice burnt end too), and even some jerk chicken came into play (which was something special too with the Caribbean flavor really on point). Had to try the mac n cheese, beans and potato salad as sides as well. No complaints at all. Very satisfying. Then add to that a nice clean space to enjoy it in, plenty of parking outside and wonderful family ownership and hospitality – I’m confident you’d enjoy the experience too.

The Meshack’s are just hand down great people, and this is just a great place. The baked potato, good Lord is amazing, and the hog bites, you MUST try, don’t skip on this place if you like your BBQ and some tasty Trini food. This is the spot!

Well just like a book and it’s cover you can’t judge a BBQ joint by its store front. I walked in and immediately thought “it’s too pretty to have good bbq”. OMG! I was wrong. Those honey hog bites were heavenly and the chopped beef sandwich was mighty tasty too! I gotta go back and try their ribs. They were out when I went 🙁
Just means another adventure to be had
Update 04-22-2022: jerk chicken and pork ribs are fall off the bone goodness. Neither require bbq sauce but do try Bert’s Chipotle sauce with one bite just to see what to put think. The Trini potato salad is good. It has an unusual spice mix that is intriguing
