I really liked the atmosphere here. It felt like you were at a BBQ. I loved the decor and rustic yet modern. We had the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. All were wonderfully smoked! Ribs are dry rubbed. Of course the kids had chicken tenders and thought they were the best. Fries are good, Mac and cheese nice and sticky and the Cole slaw was excellent. The BBQ sauces are really good. We mixed the hot and sweet to make a wonderful creation. The kids enjoyed the hickory and the mustard based sauce with the chicken. It’s nice to have a good BBQ place in the new center.

I got a notification on FB about this place running a special …so I tried it. Awesome food. I had the BOGO pork sandwiches, brunswick stew, and bread pudding … total came to ~ $22
wow it was great …. The stew and pudding were well worth it. The variety of BBQ sauces was good as well
I’ll be back here again

The BBQ was clean and tender, but the sides leave so much to be desired. Pulled pork, collard greens, mac & cheese – it’s a classic BBQ menu, and I wouldn’t change that up, but the quality and preparation was so average that it’s right on par with other places like Dickie’s or Sonny’s. The menu was predictable and the food was mediocre. The salad was iceberg based and didn’t look like anything special on the plate. The pork BBQ platter, on the other hand, looked appetizing (picture attached) – portions were well-balanced and the food was hot. The collard greens were well cooked and yet fell short of any spectacular flavor. (Please remove straggly stems; I had a 5” stem buried in the middle, and no one wants to eat that.) The mac & cheese tasted so out-of-the-box artificial and ordinary that I was really disappointed. The manager, however, brought around a deep fried ear of corn which looked picture perfect and proved to be incredibly tender – that’s a winner! The grape juice lemonade tasted like a cheap drink you beg for at the grocery store when you’re 5 years old, and today I’d rather save the sugar and the calories for something that actually tastes good. If it’s going to be a signature drink, I recommend using fresh squeezed lemonade and a higher concentrated grape juice. I’d be willing to pay for the better quality, when is a BBQ place going to step up and fill the void?

The pulled pork was Amazing. I had the Sweet and Sassy sauce and I Loved it. The sweet potato mash was so creamy with cinnamon butter and green beans had lots of flavor. The sauce was so good I bought a bottle to take home. Next time we go to the beach this place is a Must Go to eat BBQ. My husband had the 1/2 Ribs and he loved it. So tender the meat came right off the bones.

Bright standard BBQ environment. Average prices for good BBQ. Salad was disapointing as it was more like a gas station boxed affair with a pack of dressing. So that set the expectation low for the main course. But was suprised. The BBQ was excellent. A shame the salad was not of the same caliber. The ribs were tender, meaty, amd smoked just right. The sausage was flavorful and moist, yet still the right texture. The chicken was slightly dry, but of good quality and a little sauce made me forget about the dryness. The beans were good, but a little too sweet for me (personal preference there as if you like sweet baked beans you will love these). And the fries were decent. They also have several different sauces and all were quite good. So kudos for keeping it all dry rub based yet having great sauces on the side to chose from. Overall, I say skip the salad and go straight for what this place knows how to do. Do the Q…

Got a pulled pork plater with collards and mac& cheese. Got it later afternoon.
Pulled pork was extremely dry and pretty tough. The pork also did not have much flavor at all. Even after adding sauce it was still dry and the only flavor was the sauce. I wasn’t impressed with the Mac& cheese either. It tasted more like a box type. I would expect better from a BBQ Pit type of restaurant.
The collards were very good and tasty. Seasoning was on point and the cut was to my liking. The toast was also good.
The store was clean and the staff was very nice. I would say it was a bit pricey for what I got and how it tasted.

It was my first time eating there. All of the staff were extremely friendly. I had a question about the smoke brisket. When the server wasn’t sure, she went back and got the cook. Which I greatly appreciated, instead of her trying to wing it. Matt came out and was a great help and answered my questions. The smoked flavor was so good you don’t need sauce. That said, the sauce was also delicious and gave it a different flavor. The beef brisket was delicious along with the hush puppies and Brunswick stew. The food was so delicious, I got the smoke turkey to go. I highly recommend this place

The smoked turkey did not have any smoked flavor. The brisket was good. The baked beans good. The greens, good. The hot sauce, seemed mustard based and didn’t like it. But the place reminded me of a Chipotle gone BBQ. Metal chairs and flat wood booths with no padding? Are you nuts. The place sounds like an echo chamber due to all the concrete and shows every little crumb on the floor, tables and seats so it looks dirty even tho it wasn’t that bad. This is no competition for Sonny’s!

Awful. Where to start? It’s 80* or warmer in the building. When we ate there it was nighttime so the heat wasn’t from the sun. There also wasn’t a single other table so it wasn’t from a crowd. Beyond uncomfortable to eat in.
The food, mediocre at best, but very over priced. 2 meals, a kids sandwich and a side of onion rings, 2 drinks $48. I’m better off going to a restaurant that has fresh food and A/C.
My real issue was the confusion and attitude of some of the staff. We ordered a PB&J from the kids menu, it’s on the board. It never came with the rest of the food. When I asked the young lady who brought the food she said “we don’t have that here” and walked away. I said excuse me, it’s on your menu and I paid for it. She shrugged and mumbled as she turned to walk away. We ultimately ended getting the PB&J after about 15 min and asking several times. REMINDER: there was no one else there so the kitchen was doing nothing.
Bottom line, it’s not worth the price, the sweat and the attitude. The picture I’m including is the paper thin piece of meat they called a burger. Honestly McDonalds burgers are more fresh, taste better and are much cheaper.

This is a pretty good BBQ place for a Chain Store. The portions are decent, good flavor, never dried out. 1/2 Rack Ribs, Hush Puppies and Onion Rings. The Cornbread was small, needed butter but not bad. The Brisket Sandwich was made just right.
