I highly recommend this restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the pride they take as a Black-owned business—especially through their warm customer service and making sure your name is pronounced correctly. The food presentation was spot on, and everything was absolutely finger-licking good. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m on this side of town. I got Turkey Wings over seasoned rice, dressing w/gravy, and broccoli casserole. ❤️

Tina was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, she made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Her service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was just as great, full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and truly comforting soul food. You can tell a lot of love goes into both the service and the meals. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for all of my employee events, and they never disappoint. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Their delivery service is excellent: always on time, well coordinated, and professional. The staff is friendly, reliable, and genuinely great to work with. Not sure how their actual restaurant is but their food truck is atrocious. Put in an order, $16 for a fried chicken sandwich (no coleslaw), sweet potato fries and a bottle of water. Took an hour for me to get my plate with a medium amount of foot traffic. Food straight mid, no soul present whatsoever. Chicken was bone dry, have a feeling it was frozen like Tyson. Boxed spring mix and they couldn’t be bothered cutting the onions into rings, leaving them in chunks, making the sandwich lumpy. For $16, I would expect coleslaw on my sandwich, potato bread buns and a moist but crispy fillet. It’s just embarrassing- if you see their food truck, save you some money and just go to chick-fil-a.

I can’t lie, I don’t know how I let this plate make it 2.0 hours home. Everything was delicious. My plate cost me under $20 and was more than enough for me to eat off the plate 3 times. The banana pudding didn’t make it out the parking lot. This my new favorite spot to pick up some food passing through i20 and it’s not far off the exit. The customer service, the music and the atmosphere was a vibe!

Maybe there’s a difference between their actual location and their food truck, because the food truck is awful! I try not to leave bad, reviews even if the food or experience is bad; however, this time, I just have to… I ordered chicken and waffles and asked beforehand if the chicken was wings or strips/tenders. She asked someone else inside the truck and said “6 wings”. So I agreed. Once I received my food, I noticed it wasn’t wings but in fact, a chicken breast cut into strips. So I told a different young lady at the window that I order wings and also let her know that I made the other young lady at the other window aware of this before ordering. She told someone what I said, and a different came and asked about what was going on and gave me another box. I walked away thinking I received what I originally ordered, but guess what!? Nope! it’s chicken breast again!! So I decided to just accept and eat it anyway because I’m hungry. It was NOT good at all. The chicken was bland, tough, and hard that my jaws hurt from trying to chew the meat. The waffles are small and COLD as well. Did I mention that I only walked a few feet away!? There’s absolutely NO WAY that anything in the container should be cold. I JUST got it, for crying out loud. $14 for this crap-went straight down the drain. The portion size for some of the side items were super small and priced high! I’ll definitely walk the other way if I ever see this truck as an option.
