The Brussels salad appeared to be a larger portion and more filling. That and the onion rings were a fair value. Everything appeared to be ala carte.
All the food tasted great and the service and ambience was pleasant. And there were many nutritious options.
I might go again for a special occasion. It is on the pricey side, and as stated above, some dishes appeared to be a better value than others.
The fried catfish was the seafood special. Delicious crispy batter covered the fish that melted in your mouth. All of the food was a step above. You can taste the freshness in every bite! This has to be one meal we will not forget. The service was excellent.
Thank you!
The building itself was nice enough but the acoustics inside were awful-it wasn’t busy but I felt like I could have taken part of every conversation in the room without leaving my seat. I would imagine it would be extremely loud when it’s actually busy, but that is remediated by the fact there is a large outdoor patio I’m sure is popular earlier in the day.
I’ll admit I was *hecka worried* when I saw the cheap prices on the menu- it’s a country club, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen steaks that cheap outside of Applebee’s.
I gambled and I got the smoked pork chop, and I was pleasantly surprised. Was it the best pork chop I’ve ever had? No, but for the price, it more than surpassed my expectations. However, I wish I would have asked what the “seasonal vegetable” was when ordering because what arrived was green beans, which I detest. That’s 100% on me though, and also, I ate them because I made the conscious decision that I wasn’t going to eat my sad salad so it was my (very mild) punishment. They were seasoned, and the apricot sauce from the pork did a decent job disguising them for me. If you don’t hate green beans you probably would enjoy these.
I treated myself to both a vodka mule, and then dessert (which I took back to save for sad salad day tomorrow).
The mule was great, and service was absolutely phenomenal.
After having the chop, I would take a chance on the steak despite the lower price point initially scaring me off. Perhaps the prices are competitive for the region.
It’s worth a stop if you are in the area.
