Got the 3 meat 3 side platter. Decent amount to share for 2. Unfortunately the chicken thigh meat was incredibly dry. Brisket and pulled pork were decent. Coleslaw had pockets of saltiness like maybe it wasn’t stirred well but potato salad was good. Sat in a large tent with heaters and big screen TVs showing sports. A good vibe on a Saturday night. A few soft easy chairs were available to prolong the stay if you do choose. Menu included dungeoness crab tonight. Maybe next time. They also have a separate beer bar in the tent area and campfire pits for sitting around and warming your hands while you chat with friends or strangers. Every place is worth a try once, so do so if you can.

I had a great time at Willamette Valley Smokehouse! The atmosphere was fantastic, with a lively band playing that really added to the fun vibe. Everyone seemed happy, and it was such a nice day out. The menu was affordable for BBQ and had a decent selection of beers and wine. While the food was good, it wasn’t the best barbecue I’ve ever had, but definitely hit the spot. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I’d definitely recommend it!

Wow! The brisket and the pulled pork sandwich were excellent. The barbecue sauce and the baked beans were good too. We prefer things less sweet so they were exactly right! Same with the coleslaw, it wasn’t full of sugar. Will definitely be eating here again.

Update: Two weeks later I went back because it was so good and the food plenty. I got the shaft this time. Paid $36/lb. for less than 1lb of brisket (2 decent sized slices). Roger That gives you WAY More for $25/lb. The previous time I had the 3 meat/side platter for $38. I ate for two plus meals, whereas I finished the “pound” in one sitting. Music was WAY too loud for the tent too. The previous week it was perfect. Hit and miss here. Will I roll the dice and try agian? Not sure.

This place WAS amazing all around. They give Roger That a run foor the money! Only issue is the drive, so don’t get here much. Worth it though! Went on a Friday night and they has bonfires roaring and live music in the tent.

The lady taking orders was not friendly, and had a scowl on her face. No thank you at all. We ordered brisket and only got one piece and 99% fat. No pickled onions. The potato salad , had crunchy potatoes. Very disappointed!!! Oh a side note, my husband said the beans were good. Plus my husband left an eight dollar tip, before we saw the food.

We had the pulled pork sandwich $19.00 and the tri-tip sandwich $23.00.
First I want to say this is bbq and I was given the tiniest napkin(glad I had extra in my glovebox). So I reflected this in my service score. The people were all very nice.
The pulled pork was overly fatty and I would not recommend.
The tri-tip was good. I think the price is a bit steep, but the quality was good. I did appreciate the pickle, pickled onions and bbq sauce that accompany the meal.
The coleslaw was flavorless, the corn bread was served cold, the potato salad is average but the street corn was fantastic.
Friendly environment that was clean with plenty of parking.

I don’t want to rate this place to low of stars because it is a really nice place with a great vibe and they have been great to the community. However I do want to mention this is the second time I’ve had their brisket and it been dry and disappointing. I have had some great tri tip here though, and the jalapeno poppers are great.

Visited around 5:15 pm — only a few people in line. By 5:30 pm, the Friday crab and oyster specials were available, and by 6 pm there were 30+ people waiting to order. Tip: come early!
Good spot for casual people-watching — about 50 guests of all ages, friendly atmosphere with a firepit, live guitar music, and a college football game playing outside.
Clam Chowder:
Creamy and flavorful, about 30–40% clam. My wife said it was the best she’s had in a year. Nicely seasoned with black pepper, served piping hot. Potatoes, carrots, and celery are cut to just the right size for a plastic spoon.
Coleslaw:
Creamy, not vinegar-heavy — better than Red Robin’s version. Subtle flavor, smooth texture.
Potato Salad:
Disappointing. Dry, firm cubes of potato with little seasoning besides mayonnaise.
Cornbread:
Moist and delicious, especially with the honey butter — definitely a win.
Pulled BBQ Pork:
Smoked with a light spicy bite. A bit dry, but stirring in the sauce from the bottom helps. Served with a sweet-spicy BBQ sauce that pairs well. Good portion size.
We didn’t try the seafood specials this time — the grilled oysters ($2.50 each) and grilled Dungeness crab ($30) served Fridays at 5:30 pm looked popular.
Overall:
The clam chowder, pulled pork, and cornbread are worth the visit. Everything else fell a bit short for our taste and the price point — but the atmosphere, live music, and friendly crowd make it a solid casual stop. Others on Google clearly love this place more, so it may come down to personal taste.

I have seen this place from the freeway for quite some time and today I had lunch there. I was not disappointed. This is a fun place! The food was fantastic, service was also great, and the dining area was really cool. We will definitely come back again and again.
You have to try the Brisket Chili.

Brisket cut 1″ thick and included inedible 1/3rd fat (pictured). Brisket should be cut thin (like 1/4″ because its tough. And it was. Not warm either. my guess is that it was cold smoked. Pulled pork was decent. Corn? Get a different side. BBQ beans were fine. Nice, pleasant guy at the cash register.
