I came here on 01/17/2026 I have NEVER been a salad girly but I wanted to try something new. I got this recommendation from a YouTube channel and the food review did NOT disappoint! I ordered the Salsa Verde and it was DELICIOUS! Every ingredient just right. The size is SO BIG it can feed about 2-4 people. The sweet potatoes in it set it off perfectly. It was a bit pricey but I spend money on everything else. The protein is what makes it expensive. I ordered falafel, the girl forgot to put it on top, but I went back in and she put it on the side. No problem for I didn’t like it anyways. The drink machines and everything else looked shut down/empty, they were very laid back again no problem. The only issue I had was not feeling welcomed. It was my first time, no greeting, no smile, no interactions just nothing. However, when I went back in for my falafel I did make conversations and leave compliments because I would love to come back. The place has so much potential! I will be returning for that salsa verde salad. It’s fire ♥️

I really tried hard to like the salad that I got. My son and I went to the box yard and my kids got the Korean food upstairs and I got a salad here. When we went in there was an old wet smell in the air and it felt a little humid but I didn’t let that bother me. The selection of food and toppings looked pretty good. There was no ice or drinks available. The person making my salad didn’t seem particularly interested in making a salad but we got through it and got everything I wanted. We took everything to go home and the best way to describe it was that it tasted like the vegetables on the salad were washed with mop water. I tried three times to eat part of the salad and I just couldn’t get through it. One of my kids ate part of it and then threw up. For a nearly $20 salad I was incredibly disappointed. It looked amazing but I had to throw it away.

We were excited to try the new salad place in Boxyard, but were sorely disappointed. As soon as we stepped through the door, it stank. Literally smelled like rotting food. It was also hot and humid, so we just assumed maybe something was wrong with the climate system. There was only one customer already placing his order when we arrived, but it literally took 15 minutes for the one staff member to finish his order and get to mine…then another 10-15 to finish mine….for a salad. The employee was also high as a kite. It was almost comical how out of it she was. Unfortunately she was also pretty unfriendly…it seemed like the guy before me, and myself, were really inconveniencing her by being there. Ended up paying $40 for two salads (each had chicken). My spouse threw his away after a few bites because it tasted old/not fresh at all. I had the curry salad, which wasn’t completely awful, but definitely wasn’t fresh.
Given the other salad places nearby, I highly suggest going elsewhere. Farmside Kitchen isn’t too far down the road and is consistently good with sober staff.

I was excited about another place I could eat at Boxyard as someone who’s vegan and gluten-free. But I will not be back. Not the friendliest of staff, but more than anything the food was bland, off-putting in flavor, and expensive. I would have returned it they hadn’t already closed. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Such a pleasant surprise!
I was craving a good salad. When I searched Google maps for salads nearby this place popped up. Drove there and arrived 30 minutes before closing. They looked like they were cleaning up for the day but did not turn us away and were welcoming and friendly.
We had the pleasure of meeting the chef and having our meal prepped by the chef (with a little help). I chose the ZEN salad (as is) from the menu and added poke tuna. I appreciated that the chef was able to explain ingredients I had questions about from the dish. Also that they allowed me to dry the dressings before adding it to my salad. The two I tried were amazing but I opted to keep the dish as posted.
Everything inside is very clean and organized! I loved that. Everything is labeled and it allows you to know what is going on with your meal prep every step on the way. There is a glass where you can watch your salad being made.
Overall I loved my salad! It was a huge salad! Definitely not for one sitting. I will return and try their other options and eventually work up to making my own. Definitely worth the price for the freshest ingredients!

Woman Black owned, salad was amazing local produce, homemade dressing and juices. Coming soon smoothies and Aci bowls. Build your own or pick from their menu and grab a seat outside. Will be coming back to check out their new items on the menu.

I rarely go out for a salad, but I’m glad I came here for the Salsa Verde Fiesta salad! Nice and friendly atmosphere and fresh ingredients. The salad was filling and the flavors were amazing! The portion was enough to share with two other people. Definitely will be my spot when I crave another salad.

What a letdown in every sense of that word! I am not sure if all the employees were under the influence on that particular day (felt like it), but something was seriously off the day I went. They didn’t have most ingredients for a salad that I ordered off the menu (Oasis), but instead of communicating that upfront, the employee asked me to swap all ingredients one by one. I was okay with that, but when I paid extra for a protein (falafel), I got three whole crumbs of it. I am never one to complain, but truly had to say something this time, so they offered to make extra falafel “once the oven heats up”. This was middle of the day on a very Saturday. Once they finally made the new batch, it was still completely frozen inside… I asked for a refund, but then they didn’t know how to do it. I’m sure the salads are great, but you guys are about to lose a whole lot of business with these employees. This is such a terrible image of your business. Please do something about it.
