We went to Wildfire for Sunday lunch during Restaurant Week in January 2026. The restaurant featured a pre fixe lunch menu with starter and main course for $30. The environment was friendly and inviting and we struck up a conversation with other dinners easily. First our waiter Kesha was a star, friendly and attentive. Our table started with the Bison Meatball appetizer (not on the pre fixe menu so an additional $15, we also added a side of freshly made cornbread at $9). I went with the Shrimp & Crab Bisque for my pre fixe starter, which I found excellent. Others had the Spinach Salad and Ceasar Salad. My main was the Bison burger Deluxe, an excellent choice; it was tender and flavorful, they did have an aioli on the bun but just enough to create a barrier from the bun becoming soggy from the juicy burger. My husband went with the Grilled Faroe Island Salmon which he informed me was a special treat and not available everywhere. My friend had the Blackened Swordfish Sandwich. Another tasty choice. We end up with some chocolate cake and ice cream.

This used to be one of our favorite special places pre-pandemic. Still good but not as good as it used to be for the price. When in center “Ellington Room” the busy kitchen noise and echoing of people talking gets loud.
Baked onion soup tasted good but cheese crust didn’t quite go al the way across the top. Field greens salad with shredded carrot, cucumber pieces, halved baby cherry tomatoes with choice of dressing on the side was good. Lemon pepper chicken was good but very heavy on the pepper and side of fries were soggy and greasy. Petit filet was very good cut of beef, it was ordered medium-rare but came rare…since it was a good cut I took it as is and side of creamed spinach was very good with a hint of lemon. Coffee was very tasty brand & roast. (The Sprite had a dirty musty seltzer taste to it so returned and mentioned lines may need to be cleaned or changed.) Key lime pie always good, next best to having it in Miami.

celebrated my birthday at Wildfire in Oak Brook last night and had such a wonderful experience! Our waitress, Francis, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening.
She checked on us at just the right times, had a warm personality, and truly helped make my birthday dinner feel special. The food was delicious and the service made it even better.

My son and I went on a little date to Wildfire, and we were seated right away. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the seats were very comfortable. Our waiter was kind, polite, and attentive.
We started with appetizers and ordered the calamari and crab cakes. I asked for fried jalapeños since there wasn’t really an option for hot sauces. I really enjoyed the calamari—it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, I didn’t care much for the crab cakes. I even tried pairing them with other items, but they were just too bland for my taste.
For the main course, the ribs were juicy, meaty, and delicious. The BBQ sauce was especially tasty. I also tried the chicken, but it was very dry, and I ended up not finishing it. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the applesauce more than the chicken.
Overall, a nice experience with great service and standout ribs, but a few items could have been better. We did get dessert – we devoured the cookie hot fudge with ice cream hahaha sorry no picture.

Sweat Less Travel
We’ve eaten at Wildfire many times over the years. Some say this restaurant is past its peak. We respectfully disagree. We still enjoy every meal. We have here and wish we had a location closer to our home. It’s a great treat for us whenever we’re in Oak Brook to consider if not actually eat at this place. The service is always consistent and the food is on par.

We ordered Onion Soup which was a great way to start our meal. For me, beef Wellington as it is a favorite of Gordon Ramsay. It was just amazing and tender beyond belief. My girlfriend ordered the steak sandwich and really enjoyed it. For desert, the County Cherry Pie with Ice Cream. What a wonderful experience. You can be sure I will be coming back soon.

Overall amazing food and drinks. I really enjoyed and the quality is very nice. Now they have a 3% surcharge for cost increases and I found it a bit strange but aside this, great service! Really a place where I would go back again

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Have been going to this particular Wildfire for quite some time. It’s always been consistently wonderful. This time it was above and beyond. Primarily due to our server, Israel. I believe that is what his name was. He was absolutely amazing. One of a kind. I never had to ask for a refill it was just on the table before I knew it. Amazing guy and an even better server! Will definitely be back again and asking for him!
