We tried several dishes, and while the presentation looked appealing, the overall experience landed somewhere in the middle. Some items were decent, but nothing really stood out or justified the price point.

The tacos were okay but lacked depth of flavor, and the accompaniments felt fairly standard. The seafood dishes looked promising, but the execution was inconsistent—some bites were enjoyable while others felt underseasoned or overly rich. The beet and burrata salad was probably the highlight, though even that didn’t feel memorable.

Service was acceptable, not bad, but not particularly warm or attentive either. Drinks were refreshing but fairly basic.

Overall, it’s not a bad place, but it didn’t quite deliver on flavor or value. I might consider giving it another try, but it wouldn’t be a top choice—an average experience at best.

Food was good, though there’s room for improvement. We tried the shepherd’s pie; it was tasty but quite different from other versions I’ve had. The shrimp Alfredo was also good, but not standout. The server was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a great vibe. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. If you’re looking for a place with a nice view and seating suitable for any party size, this is a solid option.

Great location with amazing views! We had Sunday brunch and we walked right in and was seated right away. Cocktails were nothing special but would love to come back and try more. Food was pretty good, but I’m extremely disappointed in the popular fish and chips. The fish was pathetic! Three little nugget pieces, I thought it was a joke at first. Shrimp and grits was amazing! Service was good. I appreciated the open kitchen concept, that tells me that everything should be clean because customers can see it. Overall, I’d go back for dinner.

I came in with my husband and my nephew. The food here is delicious, we each ordered different items, my husband had the fish and chips, my nephew said that the salmon was the best he had ever eaten, and I had the french dip and it was perfect! The service was great and atmosphere is very nice, from the view to the light colors of the bar area. Everyone was so kind to us. We will be back soon!

Wildfin in one of several restaurants in the Point Defiance waterfront area. The area is very nice and offers some nice restaurants with a good view of the water. The decor and presentation inside of the restaurant is appealing. The oysters were a good choice to start, as well as the bread service. We tried the filet mignon, black cod and the burger. The steak was presented well and tender, it was slightly undercooked but still very good. The black cod was impressive and very tasty. The burger was tasty but unfortunately well undercooked, it was ordered medium-well and arrived medium rare. We did not send it back but this was our only issue with our dining experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. Outside of the undercooking, a nice choice in dining.

We chose the Tacoma location for our Valentine’s dinner, and it turned into one of the most memorable nights we’ve had. While we were eating, two orcas swam by out in the water – seeing them from our table felt absolutely magical and made the whole evening feel extra special.

The cocktails were incredible – easily some of the best we’ve had. My husband ordered the scallop and shrimp with a creamy artichoke sauce, and it was so good I kept stealing bites (honestly, I ended up eating most of his!). I ordered the blackened tuna. It wasn’t my personal favorite – tuna is such a delicate fish and the seasoning was a bit strong for my taste – but that was completely on me for not thinking through the flavor profile.

What really stood out was the service. Our waitress noticed I hadn’t eaten much of my entrée, told her manager, and they kindly comped the dish without us even asking. That level of care was so thoughtful and appreciated.

We finished the night with the butterscotch crème brûlée and… wow. Absolutely delicious and the perfect ending.
Between the amazing drinks, great food, exceptional service, and the unforgettable orca sighting during dinner, this was a Valentine’s night we’ll never forget. If you’re planning a visit, the Tacoma location is definitely the one to choose.

I was excited to eat here for the first time but was highly disappointed. We arrived around 3:30pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy but we stood there while the 3 hostesses chatted about breaks. One finally noticed us and asked us if we wanted to eat at the full service bar but I asked how long the wait for a table would be. The young lady said ” Hold on while I check” then went to talk to the 2 others. Again I hear talk of breaks and the young lady that went to check just walked away and never came back . Finally another girl came and checked us in. Wait was not bad around 10 min. The view was beautiful and I was again excited to eat. Drinks came fast. Waitress was nice. Food came fast. I had the burger well done and my boyfriend had the garlic prawns and scallops. Burger was raw and the fries were ice cold. The garlic shrimp/scallops were okay but not very garlicy or flavorful. For the price I should at the very least have hot fries and a burger done to my asking. Not impressed.

WildFin in Tacoma has so much going for it — the location is beautiful, with amazing views of the water and even a giant fountain out front where kids can splash and play. It’s a lively spot that feels perfect for both family outings and date nights.

I ordered the Fresh Catch Halibut, which was flavorful and had great textures. That said, I did find myself questioning just how “fresh” the catch really was, which kept it from being a flawless experience. Still, it was enjoyable overall and paired nicely with the atmosphere.

Service was a definite highlight — the bartenders were attentive, helpful, and made the evening smooth and enjoyable.

Overall, I’d give WildFin a solid 4 out of 5. Great view, great service, and good food — just not quite perfect.

The atmosphere was truly delightful, particularly when observing the sunset from the patio. The beverages were exceptional, and my meal was equally impressive.
