Good food. I had the chicken pot pie, my husband had the grilled chicken sandwich. and my father-in-law had the fried fish. Everybody really liked their meal. My chicken pie was on the blander side if you’re looking for a more traditional meal. It was still very good. Service was great. Very clean farm style restaurant. We’ve ate here for breakfast a few times and it is always good. We’ll be back!

Stopped in here while shopping in Lacon. My friend and I asked for a place to eat, and Wildey’s was highly recommended. We walked into an area of long tables, not a lot of people. They had a fun menu to go along with a Grinch theme, as well as their usual menu. We both ordered the tenderloin, I got sweet potato fries, my friend regular fries. The tenderloin was the best pork tenderloin I have ever had! It was not too thin, the breaded perfect, and it was delicious!! I would definitely recommend Wildey’s and hope to go back again!

This place is not only adorable, but delicious. I had the breakfast tacos and they were delicious and I’m already looking forward to going back. My husband had the fruit and yogurt bowl with biscuits and gravy and loved it. This place is the perfect little country diner that has more than just your typical menu items and has a cute modern touch.

My husband and I had dinner there tonight. The service left a lot to be desired. It took over five minutes just for our drink order to be taken. Food was definitely nothing to praise. The burger I had ordered had more grease coming out of it than a McDonald’s burger and it was completely bland. The fries left a bad taste in my mouth. The fried mushrooms and the mozzarella sticks were overly salted. Our order was $50+ and it was NOT worth it. I do NOT recommend. It used to be good, but that ship has sailed.

Came through with a friend on motorcycles and stumbled on this place. Clean, bright, and really good food. Seems family run. Worth a stop. The half size tenderloin is too big to eat.

Quintessential example of a classic Midwestern country diner. Excellent menu, massive portions, low prices. This restaurant is a hidden gem tucked a couple blocks away from the main road that runs through Lacon, IL. The waitress was very nice and I could tell they have a lot of “regulars” because she knew most of the people by name that came in. The decor inside is modest and humble. The inside will take you back to the 1970’s, but that’s not a bad thing. This restaurant appears to be resourceful and doesn’t focus hard on modern decor, keeping prices low for customers. I would definitely return to this restaurant when I’m in the area and I recommend giving this restaurant a try if you haven’t been here before.

The waitress was nice and the place was cute. The food was decent. My son had a grilled cheese and applesauce and they charge extra for the applesauce… also, the cheese they use isn’t the best. That was my one complaint about my omelette which was otherwise great. My hash browns were good, the omelette was cooked perfectly and the bacon was delicious! But if I could change one thing it would be the cheese. Overall, cute place and I would go back!
