Mr. Oliver B
I always have a great meal when I go to Wildcraft Grill + Long bar.
The waitress Abby always treats me very well checking on me periodically to make sure I am enjoying everything. She makes very good recommendations from the menu and always gets my order right. I really appreciate great service. Thank you Abby.
I also met Chantel the last time I dined here and she was very welcoming and friendly.
The food is always really good. I love to indulge with the tender Thurston Howell charbroiled 7oz beef tenderloin with two broiled tiger prawns, black truffle mashed yukon potatoes, buttered asparagus, shallot and cab jus.
The sushi was really tasty I would definitely have again.
The dessert was a really unique and delicious take on cheesecake. I loved it! Phyllo baked white chocolate cheesecake. double baked, mango-vanilla compote, raspberry coulis, coconut crumble, chantilly cream.
Looking forward to returning for another great dining experience I can always count on.

Yep — Wildcraft Grill + Long Bar hosted us for an office holiday party with a pre-fixed menu, and overall it was a solid, festive experience.

The starters absolutely understood the assignment. The mushroom soup was rich, earthy, and comforting in a “winter coat for your soul” kind of way, and the Caesar salad was crisp, classic, and nicely balanced — no sad limp lettuce energy here.

The veggie pasta was… fine. Not offensive, not memorable — just kind of politely existing on the plate. It did its job, clocked in, clocked out.

But then dessert showed up like, “Did someone say party?”
The chocolate brownie with ice cream was poppin’ — warm, gooey, crowd-pleasing in the best way — and the crème brûlée brought that satisfying crack and creamy payoff that reminds you why it’s always a classic.

All in all, a great venue for an office holiday dinner: polished, dependable, and capable of ending the night on a very sweet high note.

I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner and it was an excellent decision. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of great ambience and good vibes. We tried the goat cheese and roasted garlic dip for appetizers and this is one of the best ones I’ve had so far! Was a little disappointing that we had to wait really long for the main course to arrive (time stamp on my pictures show a 1 hour gap between picture clicked for the appetizer and main course, though we finshied the appetizer in maybe about 20 minutes or earlier). The main couse we had were Ale Brined Roasted Chicken Supreme and Beef & Blue, and the meats for both were cooked to perfection and doneness as asked! However I felt that the sides for both were overly salted (excluding the corn), eventhough the flavour was good. We lost our appetite for a long wait and decided to bring the sides home and salvaged it later by adding a little unsalted mashed potato lol.
The finishing dessert for my birthday was a surprise and was an amazing one! The flavour was so nice and the plating was awesome!
I’d definitely want to be back to try other things on the menu!

A lovely mother-daughter evening at one of our favourite restaurants. The evening started in the best way, tucked into a big, comfy booth and looked after by Andrew, our amazing waiter, who really made the night feel special.

We always begin with the hand-cut Yukon Truffle Parm Fries and Black Truffle Aioli, our favourite. For mains, we had the Steak Frites and the gluten-free Toasted Pistachio and Chicken Pasta, which were delicious.

To finish, we ordered the Lavender Crème Brulee. It was light, creamy, and the perfect touch of sweetness to end the meal.

Such a great spot, and always a memorable evening.

I’ve dined here a couple of times to celebrate special occasions and enjoyed my experience each time. The service is great and the food is fantastic! Each dish is perfectly cooked and incredibly flavourful.

If I had to critique one thing, I would say that the miso cod dish is a bit too heavy on the strong flavours and can feel slightly overwhelming, but the fish itself is cooked so beautifully that I’m willing to overlook that. It is one of their pricier dishes though, so tread carefully if you’re not a risk-taker.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’ll definitely be back!

Wildcraft Grill + Long Bar is such a beautiful restaurant in Waterloo, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite places to go. The moment you walk in, the ambiance stands out. The space feels warm, modern, and stylish without trying too hard. It has that perfect mix of being lively but still comfortable, which makes it a great spot for a night out, a casual dinner, or even a more special occasion.

The atmosphere is one of the highlights. The lighting, the layout, and the overall energy of the restaurant make it feel inviting and elevated at the same time. It’s one of those places where you can sit back, relax, and really enjoy your time, whether you’re with friends, on a date, or just treating yourself.

I ordered the pressed sushi during my visit, and it was good. The flavors were balanced, and the presentation was clean and well done. It definitely made for a nice appetizer, and I would try it again or explore some of their other sushi options next time.

Overall, Wildcraft Grill + Long Bar is a great choice in Waterloo. The service, the ambiance, and the food all come together to create a really enjoyable dining experience. I’d absolutely recommend it if you’re looking for a place with a great vibe and consistently solid dishes. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent restaurant with a good selection of beer. The rib eye was excellent, but didn’t feel the mashed potatoes matched its quality.

The atmosphere and staff were excellent. As a table of 5 we all agreed the focaccia bread with the dip was a weak point of the menu. Going to chalk it up to a one off, as I have had other excellent meals here.

Awesome birthday wishes too, yum.

Wildcraft is one of our go-to spots, whether it’s for nachos at the bar, a celebratory dinner, or a business lunch. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always outstanding. The addition of their sushi selection makes for great sharing, and their steaks remain among the best in the city

The goat cheese and garlic dip was amazing, the beef & blue steak was ok- I love blue cheese and it was a little too much, a tad salty. Overall pretty good!
