Overall, the food wasn’t particularly memorable aside from the dessert. The sundae was . The tuna salad was fine, though the tomato stood out more than the tuna itself. The uni potato dish was average—hard to mess up uni, but it didn’t wow. I personally didn’t enjoy the clam dish at all.
I initially wanted to rate it 3/5, but the sundae bumped it up to a 4/5. The total came to $198 for two people (5 dishes and 1 dessert, didn’t order drinks).

Chefs counter experience was beautiful. Such an intimate space with delicious and creative food. Wine pairings VIA Noble were authentic and rustic, not to mention spot on. Jamal was super attentive and kind. Freeman’s desert was beautiful. Thank you to all, Will be back OFTEN .

I didn’t take photos of the main fish, butter beans dish or drinks -If I could do it all over again, I’d do the clams and then the uni potato thing but low key ended up going back out to eat about an hour later for some carbs. Still good! Prepare to order about 3-4 dishes per person xx

Outstanding food from start to finish. Love the rather debonaire look and feel of the place in sharp contrast with the precise execution of the short yet impactful menu. Wine list pairs very nicely. This is a keeper!

Very nice spot we had a great time. Sat at a hightop and enjoyed the variety of small plates. Everything was very creative and well designed some absolute Michelin star quality dishes at this spot. We had a really nice waiter who was an expert at wine and guided us through their nice menu. Overall, really happy with the meal.

We loved this restaurant. The place was packed, but even as walk-ins they managed to seat us right away. Our waiter was incredibly nice, the food was great, and I especially appreciated the quality of the ingredients. The little gem salad was so good we ordered it twice. I loved the chocolate tart with the olive oil. Maybe the only thing that wasn’t amazing was the crudo (I think it was the scallop). I’ll definitely go back. The food was simple yet very original, and I really liked the menu. The vibe was great too, dark, lively, with a beautiful open-view kitchen. It had everything I love.

Food was interesting, we really enjoyed the beef tartar, gem salad, and the pithiver. The clams were interesting but the almond milk and XO pairing did not do it for me. The confir bluefin tuna was interesting but not my preferred way to eat tuna.
The dessert was definitely a highlight. The melon sundae and mille feuille were fantastic!
The wine list was interesting, leans more natty. My biggest issue was I think a quarter of the first bottle we ordered disappeared somehow…we all felt it was strange how we barely got a pour and a half from the first bottle, so we ordered another. Our second bottle stayed on our table and we all noticed we got substantially more wine per person. Just a heads up, I’d probably keep an eye on the bottle.

As perfect as a wine bar can get in New York – great wine list with some unique selections and great conversations with the staff who love their jobs. Food is spectacular and pairs great, including the beautiful steak they have. Would come back!

They didn’t have many wines from the wine list. And the portions of plates are really tiny for those prices. I love this place, but I believe they need to renew the list and add more options.
