Stopped here to get a good meal before our 2 hour drive home and unfortunately it wasn’t what we expected. The restaurant itself is very beautiful with great facilities. Our server was very super sweet & tried to be attentive but had a table of 15 come in right after us as well as several other booths so she did her best (not her fault). We ordered onion rings for the appetizer and those were killer ⭐ I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and he ordered the walleye dinner with tater tots. Fries looked good but were sadly floppy & undercooked, burger tasted like a frozen patty with imitation cheese and his walleye had multiple bones one bite into it so he opted for a BLT in place of that which was good. My husband had been here before the remodel and said food quality definitely changed.

Wild Wings in Oak Harbor is one of those hidden gems you drive past a thousand times without realizing there’s a whole restaurant tucked behind the gas station. We finally stopped in after a fishing trip and were blown away. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, the food tastes homemade (that fried chicken legit felt like somebody’s mama was in the back), and the loaded tots and Brussels sprouts were fire too. Shoutout to our waitress Korilee—she’s funny, super sweet, and makes you feel like you’re talking to an old friend while also being great at recommending specials. We loved it so much we came back twice, and we’ll definitely be back again.

Came in on a Sunday at 3:15 p.m. and I brought my 83 year old mother. This is my first time back in here since it’s rebuild.
Atmosphere – The rebuild has done wonders , the place is very inviting and has multiple T.V. s around the entire restaurant and bar. It has a very wide open floor plan with minimal obstructions. It’s very clean as you would think being it is practically new.
Final grade = 8 out of 10
Service – our server was Amber and she was very nice and attentive. She was professional and made suggestions. With the food coming out hot and rather fast approximately 10 min after finalizing our order.
Final grade – 9 out of 10
Food – Mom ordered the fried 4 piece chicken dinner. Her opinion was the coleslaw was on the sweet side but she ate it all. She said the chicken was enjoyable and moist in the inside with plenty of flavor. She also said the the mashed potatoes were real potatoes with some potato skin still present and the gravy having plenty of flavor.
Her Final grade – 8.5 out of 10 stating the serving size was plentiful and the coleslaw being her only mediocre grade. ( As a side note take the slaw with an open mind after all she is 83)
Food – I ordered the fish and chips – the fish was fried cod and the fries were hand cut style with the skin. The fish was a tad bit on the oily side and the fries were a good potion.
The Brussel sprouts with a sweet spicy sauce had great flavor with a little kick, however the sprouts were over cooked and chewy.
My final grade 7.5 out of 10 due to the oilyness of the fish and over cooked sprouts.
Final overview- Yes I will be back and we had an over all good experience. When traveling down route 2 either headed to or coming from Cedar Point or the Islands it’s worth a stop to grab a bite and stretch your legs. Don’t let the gas station front stear you away. The restaurant is in the back and even if its under the same new building its definitely its own environment and has its own vibe!

I gotta say I really like the “new” Wild Wings!! So much better for the local economy: improved cleanliness, consistency, etc. Pretty full tonight – a mix of ice fishermen, passers-by, attendees to a little girl’s bday party, & other locals. They’re serving decent, uncomplicated food at reasonable prices. Up front, the gas pumps actually work, & the store stocks things you actually need.

Small bar located in the back of a gas station but a great stop to make while on the way to Cedar point for us. Food was delicious and had a lot of different and homemade options available which is always a plus. Really enjoyed the chicken chunks and the homemade tator tots. Would be a great spot to get some food if you’re in the marina during the summer. Staff was friendly and parking was abundant on a Thursday night.

You’ve been back twice. One dine in the other carryout. I’m telling you, being a former restaurant owner The atmosphere and service was excellent, love the decor upgrade perch was excellent. Their wings are Epic,huge and very reasonable. Great with kids burgers excellent. I had a Reuben, A little disappointed it was chopped corned beef dry but other words, everything Else was superb. Just work on the roast beef. Eager to try their pizza. I heard from the grapevine. It is really good. Also, I really wanna try that prime rib right now I’m looking for your specials. Great culinary experience at Wild Wings in Oak Harbor, OH. A young lady named Courtney welcomed my group of friends and promptly assisted us in answering our questions regarding specific items on the menu. So professional and so personal best describes the encounter. The yellow perch dinner was the culinary trait of the evening with all of us, ordering it. Courtney was in training with a young lady named.Loraine tutoring her. To observe the interaction was impressive. The newly renovated wild wings in Oak Harbor is beautiful. Being a popular customer prior to the upgrades which was definitely needed and looks amazing, however the food quality has decreased significantly.
Service is very slow. Hire more servers.
Fish, fries, anything deep fried is all fried in the same oil. Not sure how often the oil is changed, it surely tastes/smells ripe. If you are allergic to fish, warning about the oil.
Work on food quality and service and we hope to make it our favorite again.

Great service, the waitress was very friendly, tthey are open for breakfast as well during season time. Fisherman’s corner, they have outdoor sitting . Fall/ winter hours during the week they open around 4pm-10pm.
