Laid-back chain offering chicken wings in a variety of flavors amid a sports-bar atmosphere.

It’s a beautiful venue with a great atmosphere. The host could be a bit more welcoming—she seemed a little annoyed when we walked in—but once we were seated, everything got much better. Our server, Eden, was wonderful! A little shy but very attentive. The only reason for taking one star off was the drink refills; we had to ask for them. The food was really good, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

The WWCs in Charleston have all closed so I was excited to stop at the Arden location while I was passing through 2 weekends ago. Long story short, I had a situation with another patron, his bored toddler and a football game. When my server Morgan came to check on me, I asked for a to go box. She returned with the box and having realized why I was leaving prematurely. She very quietly and discreetly diffused the situation offered me another table, quietly helped me move and continued to give me A+ service. The level of professionalism that Morgan demonstrated to recognize the issue and offer a perfect compromise was appreciated. Morgan is phenomenal and an asset to WWC. It was really hectic when I finally did leave, so I chose to call back a few minutes later to tell the staff member how much I appreciated. Morgan on her quick thinking. I just wanted to reiterate it here. I am so glad I got to enjoy my honey mustard and Wild West wings and the blue cheese I have missed the last couple of years in peace. I would absolutely return again.

I know that sports bars in general have garbage service but this place really takes the cake. Been here a few times over the years and every time I promise myself I won’t come back. This last visit was the final nail in the coffin. From inattentive service (my brother did not even have the opportunity to order food) to an unacceptable beer and a burger drowned in condiments Wild Wing Cafe excels at making one feel unwelcome. After a while the waitress did replace my beer, shocking that it was served! The only positive of the whole place was the hostess who actually seemed to care. I would recommend avoiding this establishment, spend your money somewhere else!

Our visit to Buffalo Wild Wings in South Asheville was disappointing overall. When we first arrived, we were seated quickly, and everything started off well. Unfortunately, after being seated, we waited around 15–20 minutes without any acknowledgment from our server, Sadie. She walked past several times but never greeted us, took a drink order, or even mentioned being busy. The host eventually noticed and kindly took our drink order just to get things started.
After another 10 minutes with no sign of service, we asked to speak with the manager. He came to our table, listened to our concerns, and apologized for the experience, saying he would speak with the server. While we appreciated his professionalism, nothing was done to make the situation right no discount or gesture to acknowledge the poor service.
When Sadie finally took our order, she disappeared again and never returned to check on us. Another server, Steven, noticed what was happening and stepped in to take care of us for the rest of the meal. He was attentive, kind, and turned a frustrating experience into a much better one. If you visit, I highly recommend asking for Stephen—he was phenomenal.
To add to the issues, the appetizer we ordered never came out, and we had to ask Steven to remove it from our check. Sadly, this wasn’t just happening to us; other tables in Sadie’s section seemed to have the same experience.
We understand staffing challenges, but acknowledgment and basic communication go a long way. Overall, thanks to Steven, the night ended better than it started, but the service from our assigned server was unacceptable.

It’s just not like it used to be. Place doesn’t feel as cozy as the previous location. Wings are overpriced and nowhere as good as it used to be. My family used to praise Wild Wing Cafe and go all the time. Ever since they moved to Long Shoals the food quality is just not there anymore. Lots of good memories but it looks like that’s all they will ever be.

First time here it was a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty dead. Very spacious and a nice atmosphere. We got wings, Philly cheese steak and a burger. All were pretty good. I would definitely recommend coming here for GameDay or just a beer with good food.

Wild Wing Cafe never disappoints! The food is top-notch — the wings are packed with flavor, with a great variety of sauces to choose from. Everything came out hot, fresh, and cooked just right. The burgers and sides were also on point.
What really made the visit special was the view. Whether you’re sitting on the patio or near the windows, you get a great vibe with a relaxing atmosphere, especially around sunset. It’s the perfect spot to kick back with friends, enjoy some good eats, and soak in the scenery.
Great service, awesome food, and a chill view — can’t ask for much more. Definitely coming back!

The music was so extremely loud and not family friendly. It was absolutely disturbing! Took a long time to get our food. The food was okay! The whole atmosphere was not good for a family. Will not be going back. The best thing about the place was we had a nice waiter. The bathrooms were filthy.

One of the remaining vestiges of the once prominent wing franchise, this location is tucked away on little known Lake Julian just a little south of Asheville in Arden, NC. It’s a bright and airy location, with lots of lakeside, outside seating in addition to the climate controlled inside. Its fair is pretty similar to what I remember at other locations – really good, unbreaded wings with a whole lot of sauces. There are other things on the menu, too, but at its heart this is a place for chicken wings, so if that’s not your bent, you might not get what the fuss is about here. Overall, worth the trip

The Asheville Ohio State Alumni Club meets for our games there in Arden. We have a beautiful room they dedicate to our 35+ members each week. The serving staff works very hard & is diligent in giving good service.
In particular, I was served by & noticed Ethan as being extraordinarily helpful, cheery, fast, & all in all a great asset to the team. Having been a server many years ago, I understand how challenging the job can be when a large group descends upon you all at one time. Ethan’s service & attitude are to be commended. Thank you Ethan!
PS the house salad is delicious & at a bargain price.
