Wild Tiger Thai – Thai Restaurant in Vancouver

I’m so excited we found Wild Tiger Thai and now we know there is a great Thai place in East Vancouver! Loved the massaman curry and the mango stir fry special.

The food was the only best part of my visit. The service was sadly beyond horrible, so much so, I almost left. After I got seated, 2 more customers got served before we ever got water. Their food even arrived before our order was even taken. (Mind you, the place was not busy (Sunday evening around 7pm)). After the food finally arrived, we did enjoy the flavor (hats off to the chef).

One of the best Thai joints in this area. Great flavors and fresh ingredients. Website is excellent for placing orders with details. We liked the Tiger Noodle and Pad See-Lew for meaty dishes. Pad Thai is very pedestrian but my daughter said it’s the best she’s had. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp. PRO TIP: They have 5 levels of spicy: Mild, Medium, Hot, Very Hot, Thai XX Hot. I really like spicy food but hot is what I order. Very hot is too much for me. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars.

It was my first time in. The server was friendly. Lots of delicious options on the menu. My drunken noodle with chicken was very good, and my friend enjoyed the Tiger Thai special noodles which she also ordered with chicken. Water comes with a lemon slice in it without having to ask. I imagine that if you don’t like that, maybe request water without lemon. The people at the other table looked happy also. I’ll be back soon!

We ordered food for a group of 30 people. Wild Tiger was very helpful and put it all together on time for pickup. Their portions are pretty large. I was told the large tray of pad thai serves 15-20 people but it more than served my 30 guests. We also ordered large pans of chicken satay and khao soy which everyone devoured. All of these dishes come with all the garnishes and extras that you would get if you ordered in the restaurant. We love this place and will order again if we throw another party.

Wow, what a shocker for my taste buds. I’ve driven past Wild Tiger so many times and finally decided to check it out. Hubby and I ordered the Panang Curry and hubby ordered the Pad-See-Ew. Both dishes were fantastic and we can hardly wait to eat there again. The staff was great and helpful with our orders. Not the fanciest restaurant in the world, but the food is 5-star.

It’s ok. Everything was a little too sweet. Enjoyed the panang curry most. Tom yum was not quite sour enough for me. Fried rice wasn’t very flavorful and nothing to write home about.
