Rarely have I had such an incredible experience, thank you! It was my birthday and the place was empty due to a snow storm but the amazing folks working that night made it in and created an experience that I’ll never forget. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were perfect! Again, thank you so much for one of the best birthdays I’ve had!

I really liked this place, but they have some areas for improvement. To start off, we had the beet salad and the crab stuffed mushrooms. Salad was amazing and quite large, so I’m glad we split it. Mushrooms were good, but didn’t stand out as amazing. Their old fashioned was proper. So much so, I had to have a couple. I didnt try one of their bourbons neat, but noticed they had a huge list including premium pours. Split a steak, and was pleasantly surprised that it was very good. However, their wine list was a little underwhelming as I think they just had a few by the glass. Best part of the meal was the bread pudding desert – delicious.

Atmosphere was nice, but their seating is quite low…at least where we sat. I would probably choose more in the bar area next time as it get livlier and the seating looked better, although we wanted a little more seclusion for dinner this time.

All in all, I dont think this rates top places for me to eat, but it wasn’t better then most, and there where some standouts (bread pudding)!

The waffles were so sugary and the syrup so bourbony that I couldn’t eat them. Josh was a great server and quickly got me something else of my choosing. The bacon was delicious! Cool speak easy type of environment.

Drinks were delicious. Service was quick and the food was okay.

My cauliflower curry was unfortunately runny and watery with no flavor of cauliflower. I could taste the curry spices but nothing special.

My partner got the mahi mahi and that was good. I agree after trying it myself.

The bread pudding was good but again nothing special or would order again.

In addition, it was hard to figure out where the restaurant entrance was and finding parking was difficult.

Overall, come for the drinks and atmosphere. For how expensive everything was though, I would be choosy what food you order.

Wild Swann is perfectly fine as a spot to grab a drink, with a great speakeasy vibe that really shines if you’ve got a bartender who knows their stuff. The cocktails are solid, though if you’re a beer aficionado, this probably isn’t the place for you.

I tried the food on a recent business trip, stopping by three separate times for breakfast, dinner, and happy hour. Honestly, I’d skip the food. The breakfast sandwich and burger were both pretty bland and didn’t stand out at all.

All in all, Wild Swann works well for drinks and the atmosphere, but don’t expect the menu to wow you.

Great place to unwind, relax and discuss the day’s bourbon tastings with friends. It’s got a speakeasy vibe with intimate lighting and a great menu. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. The appetizers were great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their mains! Go hungry!

Had several meals in Louisville over the past few days and this place is the only one that really set itself apart from the rest. Very relaxed atmosphere, clean and quite beautiful place on the lower level of the Grady Hotel. They open early for breakfast, our waiter Mark did a great job welcoming us, and taking care of our needs. By the taste of the food you can really tell the chef takes a lot of pride in their craft as it was phenomenal. All around great experience and will definitely return…

The restaurant is beautiful – I loved the speakeasy vibe. Unfortunately the food was not as great. My burger was dry/overcooked and I couldn’t taste the bone marrow described.. my husband’s steak frites needed more salt/seasoning and the plate and sauce was cold so the steak got cold very fast. The check was brought out with our dessert (bread pudding was absolutely amazing, the best dish overall), which made us feel a bit rushed. Drinks were very good.

We were first time visitors while passing through the area. Our waitress Nicole was wonderful! She was attentive and kind.

Our food: The bacon wrapped dates were my favorite part of the meal. They were SO delicious! I ordered the hot honey bourbon sliders. I did not read the deacription very well and did not notice they were chicken thighs (darker meat). Im not a fan of chicken thighs. It was tasty with all the items on it though. I ate one at dinner and tried to save one for later but it was complete mush, so ended up tossing it. Fries were just ok in my opinion. My boyfriend said his steak was well prepared. The frites were unique and flavorful although slightly undercooked. He said his crystal negroni was a very interesting take on the classic negroni. He enjoyed the originality but said he would not order another one.
