Absolutely disgusting. We arrived at noon today (a Wednesday) two other tables were seated and waiting for their food. One group of three, and a single customer at another table. Our group of three ordered a turkey club (no cooking involved), a chef salad (no cooking involved), and a blt with fries. We waited over an hour for our order, with the cashier coming over to ask us randomly about 45 minutes into the wait, if we “still wanted our turkey sandwich” which we had paid for, so we weren’t sure why we wouldnt want it. About 20-30 minutes later they bring out the BLT. Another 10 minute go by, then the turkey sandwich, then another 15 minutes or so wait before the “chef salad” arrived. The salad smelled of sewage. The shredded cheese was melted together in clumps (on the COLD salad) and the ham was gray. I can’t speak for the taste, as I did not feel safe putting something that smelled like that into my mouth. The others at my table stated that the turkey sandwich was “okay” and the Bacon sandwich was very salty, but edible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The inside floor/walls/tables were also very worn and dirty, but that seems minor compared to how awful the service and food were. Go across the street to Hardee’s, their a/c may be on the fritz, but at least they’re not selling rotting garbage at premium prices.

Cute little restaurant with great food! I got their buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. Good price and soooo good! I would highly recommend!

Before today, I was there in 2018. I understand the restaurant changed ownership. The restaurant is still one where you order at the counter, but now the call you instead of serving at the table. The fare is very good. I ordered the traditional porkloin sandwich. The porkloin was fried in a crispy crust and still larger than the bun. I personally prefer the previous crust, not so thick where you can relish the pork cut, but I still enjoyed the balance between the crust and the meat. The fries were strangely excellent without ketchup or mustard, just some salt added. Have to say, I loved it. About the service, I think a little smiling and some patience would make everything better. There was no rudeness at all, just the clipped exchange which made me feel I had to hurry up and order. You don’t do that in Missouri.

Absolutely delightful place to sit and eat. Very helpful and kind service, and the portion sizes were large.

We took our extended family in for a late lunch and absolutely enjoyed the food. Everyone was very friendly and it just felt like we were part of the family. My 93 year old grandmother and I ordered the tenderloin sandwich and we agreed, it was the best we’d ever had! Thick (but tender), juicy and a great batter. Well seasoned and crunchy! Next time we come back up to Crowder State Park, we’ll be back for another!!

We were the only customers there. Just a little effort and this place could be amazing. It smelled like that fabuoso cleaning stuff and I was not sure if we could stay…chemical sensitivity but it was clean. A labeled bathroom would be nice. The food was surprisingly good. Chicken was super moist and the breading was great. It was well cooked. It did not have on the toppings that it said it did..tiny bit of jalepenos and no ham as the description said. No straws. Water dispenser did not work. They never even checked on us. Just a little bit of effort would go a long way. I think it has the ability to be great.

This place is Home cooking at its best. Had the Pork tenderloin. Thicker than a good steak, tender and so very delicious. Can’t wait to take the kids up to taste their very good selection of meals. I love this Mom and Pop restaurant way better then the chain restaurants. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Great food, service and prices.

Ordered biscuit and gravy, 2 eggs over medium, sausage, and coffee. Food was ok. Disappointed the biscuit came out of a fridge. Gravy was good. Eggs were slightly over cooked. Your meal will come on, or in, paper or styrofoam. There is really no service to speak of. You order your meal at the cash register and pay for it right then. Then you go sit down. I would have preferred to have my coffee right away, but it came when the meal did. I hate sucking coffee through a hole, so I took the lid off the paper cup. At first I was very unhappy as I could see grounds floating in the coffee. I wasn’t going to even try it as I really don’t like grounds in my mouth and almost wasn’t willing to chance it. However, I really wanted coffee this morning and I’m glad I tried it. Some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Perfect temperature. No chicory. Just plain old coffee. The coffee made the stop worth while. I’ll probably eat here again, but I’ll take more care with what I order.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could!!! This place is AWSOME!!! The tenderloins are HUGE and are the BEST around. They have EXCELLENT salads, the Nutty Girl salad is my favorite. They have sandwiches also that are GREAT. I myself, can’t say enough good things about this place. There is usually a wait, but is very worth the wait. It’s open during the week and closed on weekends. You have got to go there..and be hingry!
