Quick service, but the food was average. I ordered the brisket plate with two sides and got 3 slices of brisket. I believe the brisket was at least a day old. A smoked chicken plate had so much pepper seasoning that my wife and granddaughter couldn’t eat it. Sides of Brunswick Stew and Collards were also very spicy and impossible to finish.

The restaurant was clean, and the service was quick, our only positive.

Really good flavor!
Prices high! Maybe because was October fest and Helen was packed.
This restaurant was kind of empty so was the only option.
No regrets, the sides wasn’t that great but the BBQ was excellent!
Simple restaurant, no big costumer service because they just charge you for the food and clients needs to pick up in the counter, clean the table and throw away trash by themselves so save your tip!

I was saddened by the food quality, and really hoping for more effort on the indoor ambiance. Worst BBQ I’ve had outside of NC, where I live. The brisket was dry and lacking flavor, but the tables have sauces to self marinate. The potatoes were nothing to write home about either. I would like to add, this place appears to have been opened very recently and I have not had BBQ in GA before.

Great bbq. Fast friendly service. We ordered take out and the cashier made sure we found the sauces and utensils before we even looked. I liked the viniger sauce the best. Has a dinning area. The store was very clean. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The Mac and cheese was different from what I’m used to, but it was better than I usually get. Very cheesey.Great job. Best in Helen. I get up there a few times a year. This will be my new stop.

Everything was pretty good if dry. Got the brisket and ribs for me and the GF and our friend got the pulled pork which she said the same, pretty good but dry. Their sauces are good so they make up for it being dry a bit. The inside is a nice looking little restaurant. It was a slower night so maybe just didn’t have any super fresh? Definitely gonna give it another shot if I come back this way some time.

Stopped by Wild Hogs BBQ in Helen for a quick bite to go before the balloons and I’m so glad I did. The tables inside were pretty full and I was concerned my order may take awhile but service was very fast and I made the event in plenty of time. I will probably always order brisket at BBQ joints because it just can’t be beat.

Food is fantastic. The pulled pork, mac and cheese with collards were all perfect. The sauces are all good but very sweet. The ‘hot’ sauce tasted more mild to me, but was still good.
I gave 4* for the service because the lady taking our order didn’t know what a vinegar based BBQ sauce was

After waiting for so long for this to open, our mouths were watering with anticipation. Unfortunately, it was far from amazing. Aside from the meat, barbeque is judged by the public by potato salad, baked beans and Brunswick stew. None of these were up to par. Potato salad is not palletable, beans were weird and almost canned, stew was more of a vegetable stew. Meat was moist but had no flavor nor smokiness. Disappointed we paid $35 for this experience. Bathrooms were clean, girl at the register was not rude but neither was she welcoming. Originally asked for smoked chicken. I was told they didn’t have any!?! As we were finishing our meal, another girl from the back came out and told the girl at the register, “chicken is finally done!” It was 3:44PM. They close at 7PM. Restaurant is clean. Picnic table seating. I’d love to come back in the fall and replace my review with an amazing update. This area needs some good local barbque.

Just great southern comfort food, the PORK, and sausage was great! Looking forward to trying the ribs next. Would be great if they offered a sampler plate with choice of three or four meats would gladly pay prem for it.

We came here late on night around 7:30pm close to closing. The worker was very nice! Typical bbq menu! No kids menu or chicken fingers etc if you have a picky eater! The creamed corn was the best I have ever had it tasted fresh out of the garden!! The bbq and sauces were very good! The only thing I didnt like was paying extra for a bun and got 2 pieces of raw texas toast bread. It would have been a little better if bread would have been toasted or it was an actual bun…but it may have been because it was so close to closing! Try them out if your wanting some good bbq!!
