Couldn’t be happier with the sushi rolls I selected! I got mangolicious and the crab Rangoon roll and they were amazing!!! Very good miso! Sat on the patio and enjoyed a cool evening with my husband and friends!

We arrived on a Monday in June around 5:30 PM. We were greeted immediately and taken to a table. There were a few other tables that had guests. The interior is airy and inviting. The noise level was low, and the table spacing was reasonable. Our waitress arrived in a timely manner to take our order. The wine list is decent enough with fair prices. We ordered a bottle of Klinker Brick Zinfandel to share. We didn’t finish it, and they were kind enough to cork the bottle with a rubber wine stopper for us to take home. For filling our bellies, we ordered the Steamed Shumai Dumplings Combination, a Tiger Roll, a Dragon Roll, and the Ramen with pork. The Dumplings didn’t have much flavor but they were ok. My husband needed a sushi fix, and the rolls did the job. BTW – they have a lot of sushi rolls to choice from. This was my first time eating Ramen. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The pork was tasteless, and the broth was weak. I expected an explosion of flavor but that wasn’t the case. It was mostly noodles which I guess is typical? Definitely did not float my boat but that’s just me. Overall, it was a good experience with solid service and tasty rolls. We would visit again when in the area.

I wanted to take a moment to leave a review about the rather unpleasant and unfortunate experience we just had at Wild Ginger on 116th Steet in Fishers that still has my wife and 3 young children a bit rattled this evening.

To paint a full picture: 2 visits ago, our kids’ waters were not refilled after my wife asked once, and I had asked a second time. Though not ideal, we decided to no longer wait. Rather, we concluded up our time and asked for to-go boxes; getting the kids drinks instead when we got home. The to-go boxes never came. I went up and grabbed them myself. We packed up our food, paid our bill, and left.

1 visit ago, not all of our food arrived. We mentioned that one of our child’s meals had not arrived (only 2 of the 3 kid’s meals arrived). Our server seemed puzzled, as if she had not remembered the meal ever being ordered at all. It was eventually placed and arrived after most of us had finished eating. We stayed around to allow our son to finish his late-arriving meal, and I ordered a beer while we waited, which also never arrived. After our son finished, we asked for our check, which included the beer that I never received. It was a long, almost embarrassing back-and-forth, pleading with the server that the beer never arrived (which I tried to offer proof of there being no beer glass or bottle on the table). The server finally took to the bill back, had it corrected, and provided the updated bill without the beer included. However, not without a seemingly leery afront towards us, as if to make clear the skepticism towards our mention of not receiving the beer (the beer that was only being ordered while we waited on our son to finish his food that had initially not arrived, mind you).

This brings us to our latest visit, which will end up being our last. My wife and I again took our 3 children out to celebrate a special evening with them. We made sure to arrive for dinner early (4:56 p.m. Saturday afternoon, to be exact) in an effort to beat the busy dinner crowd. We witnessed several tables that had arrived after us, receive their food before ours had arrived. After we observed a 3rd table receive food arriving after ours, my wife decided to simply check in on our order to make sure it was at least not forgotten and was being prepared (given our past visits, we had precedent to believe something may not be right). My wife, who is very kind and sweet, received an incredibly terse and condescending response from out server; “Yes, there are many people waiting on food, you are not the only.”

I was shocked. So shocked, I could not in that moment find the words, or tone, for a proper response that I wouldn’t later regret speaking. After I was able to gather my thoughts, I told my family we were leaving. My wife, our 3 children, and myself, all stood up and left the restaurant feeling shocked and dejected (we also did not receive the refills on water and diet coke as we requested while we waited).

So this latest visit has indeed become our last. I will not subject my family to that type of service again. We are always kind, considerate, and respectful in all that we say and do, to and for others (and we expect our children to be exceptionally courteous in how they interact with others). I am disappointed in the service and treatment we have received from the staff, especially towards my wife. Most of all, I think I am just really sad for my wife and children.

We are locals and if there is any silver lining, we now have an opportunity to explore the many other options available to us in the Fisher area together, which we intend to do very soon. When we find a new favorite place that our family enjoys, I will be sure to leave a positive review of that establishment to hopefully entice others to join us there as well. As for Wild Ginger, we would recommend you to choose otherwise.

I hope any and all who read this review find it insightful in some way and take it as something to consider before deciding on your next night out with your family.

I recently dined Wild Ginger in Fishers, IN with friends, and we had a great experience. The sushi was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious, especially the salmon nigiri and rolls with eel sauce. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it a perfect spot to enjoy good food with friends. My only critique that is a little expensive, but recommended nonetheless!

Not a comfortable place to dine in; waitresses were overwhelmed with the number of guests. They need more staff. Food took forever and was fine but not memorable. Every time the door opened, the whole room was chilled. Felt more like a fast food joint that took forever.

Honestly, I never really liked sushi until I gave this place a try. now it’s my go to spot whenever i’m craving it. They have a pretty solid selection, but the Mangolicious Roll, Crab Rangoon Roll, and Flaming Shrimp Roll are definitely my favorites.

We left after waiting 20 minutes without getting to order or try any of their food. Our Chinese waiter never came to take drink orders, and even though she was assigned to our area, she didn’t acknowledge us. It was obvious and rude that she only approached once we were putting on our coats. As usual for this culture there was no apology or effort to make things right. The place seemed busy when we first got thre but customers started to leave.

The sushi is made fresh to order and they have a wide variety. Their traditional food tastes amazing. They give fast and good service. The ambience is nice for a casual dinner.

I tried Wild Ginger for the first time today and loved it! I’m not a huge sushi person, so I got the chicken and California roll lunch special. It was DELICIOUS! All freshly made and tasted incredible. The service was amazing. Our server was so kind. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
