It’s hard to believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. My husband and I decided to come here for trivia nights to be help quell my depression when the kids go to their bio dad’s for the weekend.

Then I saw the concerts, the art nights, the craft nights. It really is a social space with a ton of personality and the service is excellent. Often, I am mean girled with small businesses. Heck, I am mean girled in big business but that sucks less because it’s cheaper and more convenient.

The women who work here are kind to me and my family, even when busy and overwhelmed.

The vegan cod is excellent. It’s become a team name with my husband. I am eating the broccoli salad right now and am literally making love to it with my mouth.

Is it the sunflower seeds? The red onions? Man, it’s refreshing, small and guilt free (unlike my double screwdriver).

This is a positive space. They help the community, no matter what they look like coming through the door. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

A shame cause the flavor was . But if your margins can’t handle more meat than that increase your cost and serve an actual entree sandwich. Because for 18$.. that’s a glorified bologna on wonder bread.

Wild Child is not what I would consider a “family friendly” establishment unless that family is all adults. There was some provocative artwork displayed and at least a half dozen signs with the F word visible from just the booth I was in. My 4 and 6 year old daughters that are learning to read don’t need to see that on every wall in the place. We had to order our food from the bar so we didn’t really have a server to check on us, but the bartender was friendly. Food was mediocre but kinda pricey for what it was. 2 kids meals, a burger, sandwich and fried pickles app was over $100 after tip. Music venue in the back was kinda cool and I’d check out a show here, just won’t be bringing my small children with me!

The chopped cheese is worth 4 stars. The smash burger was mid, worth a 3. The events they put on in the back room are awesome and I recommend going for a show of some sort. Large drink selection. Expensive: $19 for a burger and fries. Got very loud when it got busy but that’s compounded with the music they were playing in the back

The mixologist here is brilliant. Their specialty cocktails and mocktails are creative & delicious. The food is standard bar fare with a creative twist – my jerk burger was excellent, and I would’ve happily bought several jars of their jerk sauce. The art is eclectic and often stunning.

We came here because it was advertised as kid-friendly, but it absolutely wasn’t. The first thing I saw walking in was an “Eat the Rich” poster, which immediately set the tone. The atmosphere felt much more like an adult bar than a family restaurant.
Parents should know that a lot of adults were dressed in very unconventional outfits — things like animal costumes, fantasy accessories, and cartoon-style clothing. It created an environment that felt confusing and not appropriate for young kids. If that’s your scene, that’s fine, but families should be aware of it before showing up.
The food didn’t help the experience either. The cod was terrible, and the burger was burned. For the prices they charge, the quality was a huge letdown. Maybe this place works if you’re out drinking and want greasy bar food afterward, but as a family-friendly option, it completely fails.
We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children.

Wild Child has some amazing food options on their new menu, I got the Bacon Jam Burger and it was PHENOMINAL. They also have a gluten free bun available for any of their burgers, and they are quite aware of allergens, and were able to confirm which of their items could be made gluten free. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, while still having that “local pub” vibe. We also got some drinks, including a flight of some options they have on tap, and they were all great. If you are looking for a good place to get a great burger or sandwich and drinks, especially if you’re having a hard time finding a good gluten free option, this place is a great pick!

What a great live music experience! We went to see Advance Base at Wild Child, and it did not disappoint. We got food before the show and highly recommend the wings—they were delicious. Seating at the venue was scarce, so be sure to arrive early. The sound quality was excellent, and the show felt intimate with the close quarters and ambient lighting. We will definitely be back for future shows, and as you can see, they have plenty throughout the month! A great new addition to Olympia—thanks, Wild Child!

My wife and I stopped into Wild Child for dinner while we were in Olympia visiting family and it was exactly the vibe we were looking for. We happened to be in for $1 Wing Wednesday and the wings did not disappoint. My wife got the smash burger and we were both blown away by how good it was. The owner was our server and they were lovely, fun, and attentive. We’ll definitely be visiting Wild Child again!

It was my first time trying Wild Child. The food was a huge improvement on our experience of their predecessor. They have a limited menu. The cost came to about $25 for food and a drink. This restaurant has a GF bun available for all their burgers. I did not try the bun this time. I instead got the pulled pork fries which came on a bed of their delicious french fries, they add super succulent pulled pork with a house made BBQ sauce (GF) topped with melted cheese and red onion. My Mom who is a pescatarian got the fish and chips which comes with fries and house made tarter sauce. The fish was delicious and flaky. I will say that the food service was not speedy. Later, I also ordered the garlic fries. They were really good with a sprinkle of Parmesan on top. The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond.
