What an incredible experience! I am happy my and my coworkers came here. I had never tried the food here and let me tell you, it’s awesome. The Mac&cheese has a very different taste to it but I loved it. The tots and bread, what can go wrong with that? But the meat… wow. So tender and juicy. I got ribs. It’s so good. And all the sauces are great too. But my favorites were sweet BBQ and spicy mango BBQ. Just amazing! The dining room can be a little small if you have a big party but it still is comfy enough for a party of 4. Just note that with everyone having trays, it can get a bit cramped on the table. I really do not mind it, but if there are people out there a bit more picky with that, just note this is something to keep in mind (which I personally think adds to the charm of the place). I really want to bring my family here! 100% recommend.

Outstanding BBQ joint! Food was very fresh and full of flavor, you could tell the chef puts all his passion into the food here.
The brisket and pulled pork were fantastic, the hog feed (cornbread casserole) was so unique and delicious, Mac ‘N Cheese was also on point!!!
They also have great sauces and the latin lady who served us was very friendly, felt like we were family.
Big portions, reasonable prices, will definitely be back when in the area.

Was looking for brisket. This place showed up on Google maps. I also believe they had two youtubers do a food review. Lets say this is a spot you must go to. They are very friendly people and give absolute great customer service.

Ordered the “Tampa Two” and my boyfriend got some “Wangs” – it was absolutely delicious! The staff were so kind and attentive, the specialty sauces were awesome, and the “Whipped Nana Pudding” we ordered for to-go was gone in minutes! Only thing would be the dining room area had an unusual smell to it and some of the tables were a bit sticky and worn. Other than that, I would definitely go back again!

I can’t believe our luck, on finding this place. Everything we got was great (the jalapeño smoked sausage, ribs, pork belly burnt ends, all the sauces! Especially the classic, and the collard greens) I could eat a whole bucket of those collard greens by themselves
Yet, the biggest highlight of the whole experience was by far Evelyn.
This woman is a saint, and if I lived here, I would come in every day she worked just to spend time with her. She was welcoming, funny, charming, and just all around a genuinely lovely person. We will absolutely be back next time we are in town, for both the barbecue, and the great hospitality.

Took me awhile to decide amongst the gigantic menu options (usually a red flag for me), but after a day at Busch Gardens, I opted for a 3-meat 3-side platter for only $20-ish! (Get there early, before they sell out of sliced brisket. Doh! ) Decor was kitschy & cool. Only thing left on my tray was some rib bones! Delicious!!! I even grabbed a homemade cookie for the road & was so big & good that I had a hard time sharing it with my wife -get 2! Friendly staff, but Evelyn was over the top friendly, helpful & witty. 5 Stars!

– sausage was very good
– Tampa 2 brisket sandwich was phenomenal
– potato salad was meh
– collard greens were solid
– Mac and cheese was bangin
– coleslaw was ok, bland
Overall everyone was nice and food was good, other than the Mac and cheese the sides need a bit of a punch up in my opinion. And for how much a 2 meal plate is, I think the portion sizes are a bit lacking.
Very good but I still think “Al’s finger lickin bbq” is better.

Fiancé and I came here for Sunday lunch. We live in Bradenton and this place was highly recommended, so we made the hour drive.
Totally worth the trip. Brisket was top tier. Their Tots n Corn nuggets were fried to perfection. You can tell their oil is clean because of the nice golden brown color on the nuggets and tots.
Pulled pork was cooked perfectly. Not over done or dry.
Save room for their cobbler. Makes you want to wiggle your toes.
Staff was very kind and helpful.
Not a very big inside but they have outside seating.

Dang. Yeah it’s good. Legit. Bark on the brisket is perfect. Service is awesome. Collards are perfectly seasoned. Loved the beans sweet and tangy.
