First visit and won’t be the last! Our server Cedar was so sweet and attentive. I went in not knowing what to expect other than high quality food. I was pleasantly surprised by tester freebies [fried risotto balls, glass of bubbly, corn Brule (thank you Cedar!)] which were all delicious and truly indicative of the entrees to come. We got the oysters to start, then the lamb chops and a filet, with the mushroom and brussels sprouts as sides. Everything was cooked beautifully, and was incredibly tender. Fully intend to go back and spread the word. The rosemary popovers with rosemary butter were delicious too! Thank you again, Cedar!

Wicked Butcher is a fine, serviceable date-night restaurant, but it didn’t fully deliver on execution during this visit.
The steak was the main issue. It arrived just warmer than room temperature and couldn’t melt the truffle butter. Our server handled it well and even brought a torch from the kitchen to fix it tableside, which was appreciated, though not something you expect to need at this level.
Service overall was good and attentive, but nothing stood out as memorable. Valet parking was around $19, which feels standard for downtown. The table and some of the dishes were not as clean as they should have been, and that pulled the experience down more than anything else.
Sides were solid. Nothing you’ll think about the next day, but also nothing you’re likely to send back. The wine list was decent and slightly above average, with enough range to find something enjoyable. The ambiance felt like a restaurant that once had more energy than it does now. Still pleasant, just a bit dated.
At roughly $125 to $150 per person without wine, the price point was acceptable, though not compelling. This is an average date-night option rather than a special-occasion destination.
Despite the critique, nothing here was terrible. We would go back, but only when our usual spots start to feel stale.

Prior to traveling to Dallas, I had seen this restaurant online and knew it was close to the hotel we were going to be staying at. Instructions said to enter on Elm St. even though there is a large sign entry on the other side of the building. I guess they recommend Elm St. because there is parking right outside. We wiggled our way through the Coamerica building and found it.
They asked us if we had been in before and we said no. Our server’s name was “Cedar” and she was great. They first brought these gigantic and delicious rolls or “popovers”. They are these massive crunchy delicious herby rolls. We ordered drinks, the Beef Wellington, the Butternut Squash Soup, and the Chocolate Soufflé. I ordered the soufflé ahead of time because I know they take time to make. The chocolate soufflé was what I initially saw on the menu that got my attention.
Our drinks were perfect, the Wellington was the best I’ve ever had, and they showered us with small bites and even champagne in between courses. The chocolate soufflé ended up tasting like a delicious brownie but I was excited because I had never had a chocolate one before.
All in all, this place was amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. If you are in downtown Dallas, this is the place to go. They spoiled us rotten. Our whole experience from start to finish was impeccable. I don’t come to Dallas very often, but when I do, this is where I would want to dine.

Looking for dinner after sightseeing in Dallas downtown, find this restaurant on Google.. luckily got parking close by on the side of the road. Martin as the bartender that night was serving us as well, professional, friendly and attentive.. the fried calamari and oysters appetizers were excellent, squash soup little sweet, willington beef so delicious, the sirloin steak (vividly remember the name) so tender and delicious. The beef pasta way to salty and not taste good… the rest of it was enjoyable and delightful..

Had the best dinner at the Wicked Butcher. We felt so spoiled and service was top notch. Our server Cedar was amazing and there were so many little gestures that made this evening feel so special. We started out with the dressed oysters (so good!) and the bone marrow, and then shared the Cowboy Ribeye with the creamed corn (a must) and the Brussels sprouts (a much needed green). The tableside truffle butter is not to be missed. A great wine selection and tasty cocktails (I had the Golden Hour which was amazing). For dessert Cedar brought us the banana pudding and OMG it was so good. Cannot recommend enough if you’re in the Dallas area!

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Wicked Butcher in Dallas, and overall it turned into a truly five-star experience. We had made our reservations more than two months in advance, before the restaurant announced that the evening would require a $175 per person preset menu. While I completely understand special holiday offerings, I personally wasn’t going to eat $175 worth of food, so I asked to speak with a manager before we decided to leave and explained the situation.
I cannot say enough about how accommodating and professional he was. He genuinely listened, understood our concern, and went above and beyond to make sure our evening still felt special and seamless. That level of customer care is rare and so appreciated.
The ambiance was romantic and upscale, the service attentive, and the food we ordered was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the manager’s exceptional hospitality, our Valentine’s dinner was memorable for all the right reasons. We will definitely be back!

Went to Wicked Butcher to celebrate my birthday and had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the atmosphere made the night even more memorable. I truly enjoyed every part of the evening and would highly recommend it for a celebration or a great night out.

I always have a phenomenal time at Wicked Butcher. Parking is easy (beneath building). Start off at the bar— the mood, decor, and lighting are perfect for a night out. Their specialty cocktails are very good. Moving on of the dining room, it has a quiet steakhouse vibe. The service is outstanding and consistent. I always order the same thing, the Wellington. It’s perfection, something unique I can’t get elsewhere and really look forward to.
