I recently tried Wiang Kuk Thai Food in the food court and was honestly impressed. Even in a busy food court setting, the service was friendly, quick, and welcoming.

The food really stood out — fresh, flavorful, and very authentic. You can tell they take pride in what they’re making. The pad thai and curries had great balance and depth, not overly sweet or watered down like you sometimes get at food court spots.

Portions were solid, prices were fair, and everything came out hot and well-prepared. It’s definitely one of those hidden gems you don’t expect to find in a food court.

If you’re craving real Thai flavors and want something quick without sacrificing quality, Wiang Kuk Thai Food is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The food came out quick, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell it’s made with care — not just rushed like a typical food court meal. The pad thai and curry had that authentic Thai taste, well-balanced and not overly sweet or greasy.

The staff were friendly and efficient, even during busy hours, which makes a big difference in a food court setting.

I don’t know why this place has a 4.1 star rating but I just finished an absolutely horrible meal at their FMP food court location. I ordered a simple Thai minced pork rice with an iced Thai milk tea. What’s supposed to be a very safe and staple dish had turned out to be literally the worst one I’ve had in my life. Firstly, it’s not Thai but Cantonese. Secondly, it has nothing flavor and not spicy when she specifically asked if I wanted it spicy. Thirdly, half the pork were fat and not edible and they are not minced pork but mini pork cubes. And finally that milk tea is just very sweet water that looks like milk tea but has zero tea flavor. It is usually difficult to get something so basic so wrong but they’ve done it. If I could give zero star I would. Oh btw, this thing cost me $23, at a food court with zero service.

Visited on a Saturday morning just after eleven. My order was for Pad Thai with chicken and it was efficiently processed. The price was a little higher than the other place in the food court that serves Pad Thai, however, there was more chicken and larger pieces so that’s the comparison. Maybe the portion was a little smaller? Still, the Pad Thai was very good and there were plenty of peanuts with it. They ask how spicy you’d like it and there was also chili oil available that you can add to the dishes.

We’ve order from here in the past quite a few times. Their Pad Thai’s and green Thai curries are amongst our usual orders. Portions are good and flavours are good. It’s not that spicy though, so it’s been toned down for the general public 😀

Ordered the Bangkok Chicken rice, advertised as the best seller. The rice was good, could taste the chicken fat and stock, the dipping sauce was good too. But the de-boned and skinned chicken was dry, bland and overcooked, I was hungry but could only eat half of the meat with lots of dipping sauce. The Thai iced tea was ok, you can taste the spices but the tea was not strong enough for me.
Not sure if it was a bad day for the shop, hope their other dishes are better. It was disappointing.

Located in the food court of first markham place. I’d consider this place a pretty authentic place for Thai food. All their employees are from Thailand and speak Thai.

The food here is delicious. My parents love this place. They always buy take out from here every time they pass by the area.

We usually get #11 and #12 and the beef larp
These dishes taste really authentic. Full of herbs and flavour. The sticky rice here is nicely cooked. It’s not too soft and not too hard.

Thai ice tea is okay. Not the best I’ve had. It seems a little they didn’t use enough cream or milk. The flavours not creamy enough.

Overall, recommended.

We live in Toronto but worth the drive north to have authentic Thai – in a food court! We have tried all their menu items. We’ve been so many times and none disappoint. Adjustable spice levels (1 chili, 2 chili, and welcome to Thailand!) and each order is prepared fresh by a friendly authentic Thai chef. The goodness of the staples like Pad Thai are consistently good but their OG Nam Kao is really good with sausage pieces and crispy rice bits all over.

The free sugarcane drink they provide is no longer but the quality of the food is still maintained after over 7 years in operation. I wish they open a location in downtown Toronto. Arguably the best Thai food in the GTA.

A definite must go!

Food was very good. You can taste the depth of the coconut oil from the curry. The chicken is juicy and flavourful, but the cashier is depressed still good food though

This location is in the food court at First Markham Place. The parking lot is a great example of a battlefield and I’m not kidding. I have seen fights break out over parking spots because it’s way too busy all the time and you will find an immediate spot almost never.

The food at this restaurant is so unfair! Modern day scammers here! Look at this drunken chicken plate… I separated the veggies and chicken apart from the noodles just to see what kind of BS I just purchased. All I have to say is COME ON GUYS! You should be ashamed of yourselves! $15 for 2 lbs of noodles and a pinch of veggies and meat. SHAME!
