I went here back on 8/3/25 after wanting some good soul food/home cooking. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. There was one mistake in the order, I ordered and chicken wing dinner with macaroni and collards, but it came with sweet potatoes, and I would have like an dark meat chicken quarter, but it was still good.
When I first pulled up, it looked kind of dark, but as I walked to the door I could see the lights on inside. The staff was nice, the food stayed warm all the way until I got home which was about a 15-20 minute drive.
Bathroom was clean, but someone didn’t flush before me, could have been a kid. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars was because of the messed up on the sweet potatoes and not macaroni, I included my receipt in the pics. I can’t totally blame them, as they show you the order before you leave, but I was so hungry I didn’t catch it either.
I would recommend you all try them out, and I will be returning and trying something else in the future. Very nice and friendly staff.

I love southern food but this place is the next level, the collard greens are just delicious, the mac and cheese to die for it. I order the halal beef ribs and the meat loaf and i was so amazed about the flavor and tenderness of the ribs and the meat loaf tastes like grandma.
The customer service was great very friendly people behind the counter help me with my questions of the menu. Nora was very helpful me and my family really enjoy the food.

Super disappointed with this meal I ordered veggies and my bowl of beans is full to the top but my other veggies like the squash entree this is just unacceptable this is why it’s so difficult for us to support each other, consistency is vital. Cabbage if people get veggie plates put more in the container.

I love supporting black owned business however I must stop supporting this one,, I’ve come here about 6 times and after my last visit I’m done, ESPECIALLY since they raised the prices. Oxtails are nasty nothing but bone and overpriced, turkey wings are good if they let you choose which one you want, or else they’ll give you a giant bone. Not to mention rudeeeee servers and cashiers. I’m just hungry i just wanna get my food and go, no need for hostility when questions about menu items are asked. So I’m done spending 20+ for a boney meal served by a Scrooge. Thank you!

I ordered via Door Dash and they gave my dasher someone else’s order. Different name, different items. I ordered meatloaf with yams and cabbage, extra cornbread and a turkey wing add on. They sent a pork chop with creamed corn and collards. Now they screwed up two people’s order . What is so hard about reading the correct name and handing the driver the correct bag? It’s not rocket science . Never again. -100 stars. At least I got a refund from Door Dash so I can order something else FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE

Do not go here if you want authentic Southern cuisine. Why label yourself as ‘southern’ or ‘soul’ when you completely abandon the very dishes that define those traditions? Removing pork ribs, smothered pork chops, and fried pork chops is a betrayal of Southern cuisine, and the restaurant’s decline began the moment these staples disappeared. The prices are sky-high, but the quality is shockingly low—most dishes taste more Spanish than Southern, despite my love for both cuisines. When I visit a Southern restaurant, I crave authentic Southern flavors, not a Spanish-inspired imitation that misses the mark entirely. Ain’t no soul in the food despite the name. Avoid entirely and go somewhere else.

This hidden gym is the top soul food in the Gwinette area . The menu offers a good variety of choices, including comfort food classics such as macaroni & cheese, collards, and yams.
There are a couple of stools to enjoy your meal, although it seems most prefer to go orders.
Every item I ordered was full of flavor. Nothing was overly salty. I also tried their peach cobbler. It hit the spot.
I enjoyed the artwork of the former rap trio, Migos. I was not as excited about the vulgar fight videos on the large screen TV. At least it was muted. The R&B music was at a nice volume; it wasn’t overbearing.
There was a small issue with the cold meat, but I just say they were exceptional about correcting the issue.
Overall, I recommend this restaurant. I will be returning for more!

It was my first time there, the man at the counter is very nice but the lady at the register was really rude. I asked for a sample of yams just to try before I buy her response was “We dont do samples” and proceeded to tell the young man standing next to her “Oh we aint never did nothing like that” like what so I walked out I wont be returning and maybe she should stay off her phone at the register and pay attention to her customers and smile. I will be telling everyone about my experience too. The attitude is unacceptable she didnt have to say everything she said a simple “Im sorry we dont do samples” would have been fine ♀️

I was looking for a good soul food spot and this popped up. I ordered the baked turkey wings w/dressing, greens, Mac n cheese, and peach cobbler. I was disappointed in the Mac n cheese. It was bland with no real flavor and not enough cheese. Also, they FORGOT my cornbread on BOTH plates that I ordered. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to eating cornbread with my greens!Everything else was good! The turkey wings were falling off the bone, the greens were good and the peach cobbler was excellent! Some of the best peach cobbler I’ve had! The dressing was just OK for me, but I would reorder it. Overall I recommend them and may be placing another order today!
