Great potluck on karaoke night, machines seem ok, think some people paid by check, (can’t lose it then?) I can’t sing except in shower.

Came in here to play pool league. The table is fast and a pleasure to play on. The bartender Michelle was very prompt and friendly. The place is best described as cozy. It’s a hole in the wall full of personality! I will enjoy coming back here.

This little establishment was a trip. Not what I was expecting. Apparently there was or had been a party going on, a bunch of star balloons were floating above a long table. As I walked in the music was loud and the singer was horrible. I thought it was a live band but sounded so bad i didnt want to look. The croud was definately older. Im 62 and everyone in there hsd 10yrs on me for sure. Plus I could tell by the music it wasnt my generation. The bartender was excellent!! prompt to greet me and the drink was so perfect that I had forgotten about the cherries I requested until she came back a skewer of 5or6 plump red balls of jucieness, asking “you wanted cherries right?” Took me a while to find them, she said. I noticed everyone was drinking bottled beer even though they had quite the variety of spirits. The gaming was okay, didn’t win but that’s didn’t lose much either. I’m not sure if Thursday nite is Karaoke night or if every night is. But those people can NOT sing. I didn’t hear one person that could carry a tune. But that certainly didn’t stop them from trying. The crowd but have been tone-deaf too because they applauded and whistled after every song the soloist belted out. At one point the cook came out of the kitchen and offered the guy next to me the last bowl of beans of tge day. When the man said no I knew I was next to be offered those beans. Politely, I declined. Whoa, what a Weird place. Would I go back? Probably not. Although the drink was good, I might stop in for a quick one just so I can tip her, she deserved it.

So, this is kind of a geriatrics bar in town, meaning more of a senior atmosphere, however most everyone was friendly. The bartender is super sweet and provides a comfortable small-town aura. But watch out for the two older ladies when singing karaoke. They would make fun of their own mothers. Definitely discouraging to newcomers if they want to sing. Sound quality of their system is less than to be desired but there are a few great male singers in there. I noticed they have signs for Pizza there. I heard it was Papa Murphys I’m not sure though. They do have a pool table in the back room. We have been here a couple times before. It’s Hot in the summer with no AC, but it seemed to be okay this winter.

I’ve only been on the bar side, so I know nothing about the food. It’s a run of the mill locals bar. It seems that the regulars all know each other, and everyone is treated with appropriate respect. The bartender, Nicki, was super. I would probably feel comfortable as a regular or just pulling in to stretch my legs on a long drive.

Been there 4 times and 2 out of four times woke up with a head cold? Feel like Bartenders should spend a 1/4 of there time wiping down machines with a sanitizer rag or simply bleach water. If I bartended there that’s exactly what I would do? I’m not a Covid freak but just relaying my personal experience.
