Oh my. I was not expecting much when I ordered food from here. I thought it would just be ok and edible. I was seriously wrong. The food was amazing. IWe ordered a catfish poboy, red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, gumbo and jambalaya. It was all amazing and I cant wait to go back. Oh and for the etouffee the rice is on the bottom

Tori is amazing! We got to go today and enjoy dine in and it’s been some time because of the pandemic. I got the super sampler which I had before and my favorite dish is the etouffe (with craw dead) and everything is deliciousssss. Seriously. She made a sunrise style mimosa that was so good too. I also had a bloody mary and original mimosa. I went previously and had the bloody mary bar, super sampler and a variety of the gooey butter cakes. They are always super delicious. I highly recommend trying any of the gooey butter cake flavors and also the super sampler. I’m addicted and will be back. Everything is so tasty and the team there have always been super awesome.

Don’t let the décor fool you, this place is authentic. The decor is not traditional New Orleans but what folks in Destrehan, Mandeville, etc think of when they hear New Orleans. Place is super clean and neat which if you know NOLA usually means it won’t be any good but this place is the real deal. The blackened redfish was spectacular. It was nice to taste a dish in the Midwest where blackened doesn’t mean burnt and dry. The only reason I didn’t do 5 stars is the fried pickles were somehow thick and battery despite being thinly cut. Can’t speak for the other apps but the portion size and quality from the fried pickles didn’t really match the cost. Redfish, shrimp poboy, and étouffée are all a must try.

The catfish and shrimp was delicious. The shrimp were fat and the catfish was meaty and it was cooked to right. The side of red beans and rice was a gift to my tastebuds. The green beans went down easy. They have a nice selection of craft beer. The staff was pleasant.

We went at 11 a.m. on Saturday when they opened. It was a cold, rainy day. We were the only ones in there. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. He turned on golf so we could watch and eat. Crisp French fries smothered with crawfish étouffée was very tasty. We each had a cup of red beans and rice which was très bien! The jambalaya was a generous portion and delicious. We were not disappointed and will return.

The flavor here is well seasoned and bold with excellent service to match! While I was here the girls gave out complimentary 99 proof shots which just added to the ‘50s New Orleans Mardi Gras vibe. Definitely check this place out!

Food was ok, not cooked properly. I got crawfish etoufee. The waitress Baylee, tells us after the fact that we ate that the credit card machine wasn’t working. I laughed like really you just now tell us this. She said, “oh, we have an ATM machine that you can use”, and points across the tables on the other side. So my husband whips out his wallet and hands her a $100 bill. She asked him is that ok, which we thought she was referring to the credit card machine not working, so he said yes. My husband uses the restroom and I asked for the receipt and change and she looked stunned and said, “you’re husband said to keep the change”. I laughed again and said, “no, my husband did not”. So she left to get the receipt and change and my husband came out of the bathroom to hear her complaining to the other staff about me. So he stepped in and said, “I’m going to tip you but not all of the money crazy, he still tipped her $25 for a $60 meal. We will never go back there, absolutely horrible!

If you want Cajun/Creole cooking in the metro East, this is the place to visit. With their new location in Collinsville, you will think you transported to the French quarter. Awesome food and service. Highly recommend they’re Crawfish Etouffee!
