Ethan & I count ourselves very lucky to have stopped in to East bay coffee co. A few nights back & got to talking with the incredible owner Jay of @whodatcatfriedfish.
We knew from the conversation alone, from his passion & care for the art of cooking that we were stumbling on to a secret gem here in the bay & we were indeed!
Not only is Jay such a nice & kind owner who is passionate about what he does but he makes hands down the BEST fish sandwich I’ve ever had.
We ordered the fish sandwhich & the who dat cat combo – fish, shrimp, wings, fries & potato salad. Everything & I mean everything was cooked to perfection Juicy, crispy & seasoned with love.
We highly reccomend all of our bay area family stops by & support this incredible gem. We now count ourselves as regulars! ❤️

If you’re looking for a real taste of NOLA, this is the spot! I stopped at Who Dat Cat and was blown away. The fried catfish is perfectly seasoned and crispy without being greasy, and the shrimp has that authentic Southern crunch.
You can tell they take their Po’ Boys seriously here because the bread is spot on. Make sure you don’t skip the sides too. The potato salad tastes homemade and pairs perfectly with the fries. I’ll definitely be back!
