It was pretty nice to experience a sacramento staple that I’ve heard about so often! We got their famous peach milkshake, the big burger with an extra patty and bacon, a deluxe burger, curly fries, and onion rings. For those who don’t know, whiteys sauce is like mustard with relish. The standout item was definitely the onion rings, but you really only get about 6 rings in an order. The food is served hot and fresh. I would recommend ordering online for pickup. There is a nice shaded picnic table area to eat at

Old fashioned burger joint, with patio-only seating. The burgers were good and reasonably priced; we had Whitey’s Special, the Deluxe, and the one with grilled onions and peppers. Fries were decent, and the onion rings superb. The peach shake gets a big buildup in many other reviews, but we thought it could use more peach.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the Best All-American Burgers in Sacramento!

Whitey’s Jolly Kone is an old-school gem! It’s a classic drive-in style spot where you walk up to the window to order, and they serve up more than just ice cream cones—burgers, hot dogs, and even some Mexican food.

We started with their Big Burger, ordered just like it’s listed on the menu, and it did not disappoint. The patties were juicy, the buns held together beautifully, and the lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were crisp and fresh. We had another with bacon—perfectly cooked and just the right amount. The chunky steak fries were golden and hearty, exactly how fries should be.

All the seating is outside at picnic tables with umbrellas, giving it a fun and relaxed vibe. We didn’t wait long to order, and even though there was a bit of a wait for the food, it was right before the lunch rush, so totally understandable. They call out your order over the intercom when it’s ready.

Pro tip: Try to go before or after the lunch rush—because when it hits, it’s crack-a-lackin’! That said, parking was easy and there seemed to be plenty of it.

Bottom line: Whitey’s serves up one of the best all-American burgers I’ve had in Sacramento. If you’re craving a great burger with no frills, just flavor—this is the place. Don’t sleep on it!

Whitey’s Jolly Kone is a classic spot that never disappoints. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and served in generous portions, and their burgers and snacks are just as good. The vibe is fun and nostalgic, and the service is fast and friendly even when it’s busy. It’s the perfect place for a quick treat or a casual bite with friends and family. A true local favorite and always worth the stop!

Thia is one of our favorite local spots, especially in the summer. We live nearby and walk over for a treat and enjoy the patio seating. We mainly go for the ice cream cones, sundae, and seasonal milkshakes but are also fan of their burgers and fries (big enough to share). Its family owned and everyone who works there is super nice. Annual peach milkshakes are highly recommended.

Fun old hamburger joint. Good prices, large fry portion. Good burger. Slow service as they can get busy. So come prepared to wait. I will come back during summer for their peach shake.

Peach season is when we especially enjoy their shakes. Fresh peaches! Only for short time makes it special. Good consistency with chunks of peach. The small is plenty big for me

We Love Whitey’s! The burgers are amazing, bacon is always crispy on the bacon burger& the fries are always perfect & hot! Plus, I like to eat my fries with ranch & i love that the 1st ranch is free. I havent tried their shakes, but I’ve heard they’re amazing. I might eat here again for lunch tomorrow, best burger in West Sac!! If you like to order online like me, you should definitely order at least an hour before you’re hungry lol. I always order online for pick-up during lunchtime & the wait time is usually 45min-1hr before I can go pick it up.

The single order of fries was ample and nicely salted. ‘Miss their crinkle-cut fries. Good cheeseburgers.
