This is the first time I was here at White’s BBQ in Port Lavaca. We wanted some bbq so I figured I try it out. The brisket and sausage was very good and hot when I received it. The brisket was only four small pieces and maybe 10 pieces of sausage that was cut. I had green beans and french fries. The green beans were a bit watery, it would’ve been better if they drained the water so you can taste the onions and bacon in it, but they had a good taste to them. Everything was served in disposable plates or Styrofoam; it felt like I was at at family members party at a picnic in the park. I did enjoy the flavor, but the portion was very little for one person. And the portion was way little for the amount charged. The service was good. They were friendly and welcoming and as I heading out they acknowledged it. The time of day I went was a bit empty so there was plenty of seating. The restaurant looked clean, good lighting and the restroom was clean too. We parked quick because there was enough parking. I didn’t notice a ramp for wheelchair accessibility though. I did enjoy the food taste but the price, “eek ” , maybe if they need to served just a bit more. Oh by the way they charge a non- cash fee if 79cents( not sure how they call it), that’s ridiculous, they getting paid either way. If I’m around again I might just visit again to check if the portion size improved. So will check up later if, though not sure.

This place is garbage. First sign was the place was empty when we walked then i paid $23 for 2 slices of brisket and 6 pieces of sausage. Brisket was super fatty and greasey and wasn’t even hot. Sausage was alright but it was cold as well. Beans tasted like it was from a can. If you want better BBQ try the brisket sandwich from bucees its cheaper, larger portion and it taste better. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was hands down one of the most disappointing BBQ experiences I’ve ever had. I placed an online order for ribs, brisket slices, and a whole chicken—and honestly, I’m not sure which of the three was worse.
The ribs were tough and dry, the brisket slices were also dry and clearly from a poor cut, and the chicken was the biggest letdown: the outside was burnt, the smoke color looked almost greenish, and the meat was extremely dry. None of it tasted like proper BBQ—just poorly prepared food.
For the price and expectations, this was unacceptable. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for real barbecue.

Visiting this friendly service and very clean/organized restaurant. Moist brisket was juicy, sausage and beans are spicy, not my preference, potato salad delish! Overall, a good BBQ place to enjoy

If you want barbecue go to BUC-EE’S at least you can get 4 brisket sandwiches for the price of one brisket plate… how can you have brisket on your review photos with a smoke ring but when we get it from the restaurant it looked like it was boiled… 2 slices of brisket for 23 dollars never again!!!

Wish I could give 0 stars. This was the nastiest bbq I’ve ever had. Paid over $100 for old brisket and tough ribs. The potato salad was gross and tasted like some kind of chemical. The lady that helped me with my order was rude. She gave attitude when asked for a loaded bake potato. She said they ain’t got any. Learn proper English and how to speak and treat the public if you’re going to work in the public and with customers. Ran out of sweet tea and looked for someone to ask for more and couldn’t find a soul in site. Should’ve known not to eat there when we were the only ones there to eat. Needless to say it was a lesson learned and I won’t ever go back to this establishment. Thanks for wasting my money. Your food was disgusting.
