The wait team is always friendly and accommodating to any special dietary needs or requests.
We recently had our daughter’s rehearsal dinner there and could not have been more pleased with the food and service.
Highly recommend for a date night family dinner or larger get together. They are one of the best.
Upon arriving, we were greeted with a warm smile welcoming us and brought us to our table. We were given a quick history of the place and their offerings. We shared their fish and chips, roast beef sandwich, and panko fried flounder. All incredible flavors and beautifully plated dishes. We ended the lunch with and cardamom cinnamon bun that tasted like autumn. Warm and perfect amount of sweetness.
We can’t wait to return to try their dinner menu and check out the shops. We loved our entire experience from arrival to dessert. Staff was incredible and very happy to have us and excited for us to be there. Set a date and get excited, you’re in for a great treat!
My first exposure to Whitecrest was it’s regular menu. I was not only impressed with the food and how it was presented. I was also impressed with the rustic, well-thought out atmosphere. And the personalities of the servers as well as their attention to detail and intelligence of the menu items.
The second visit, we experienced their Wanderlust event, in the country of Ethiopia. This area is not known for offering such a variety of cuisine, so having an Ethiopian option close by was wonderful! (I used to live near NYC and miss the variety.)
On this visit, I appreciated the atmosphere even more. It was intimate and open. The staff was made up of mostly the same people and I felt like I was visiting a familiar family friend.
Whitecrest Eatery – Thank you for providing such a beautiful space. I can feel the love and care you put into this place by merely walking through the door.
I had my own Ratatouille moment biting into the Brussell sprouts. Cheers to the whole crew at Whitecrest Eatery!!
I was skeptical but will definitely return when in the area next.
Food never arrived (two open sandwiches and a soup – nothing that required REAL cooking) . NOBODY checked on us.
After 45 minutes we asked the waitress what was going on, and then when the order did not arrive decided to leave. The hostess (owner?) was indifferent and did not approach us or apologize. Neither did the waitress who simply disappeared. When I raised the issue she did not apologize or exhibit concern, but said she did not have people – frankly, they were not even full. They also had time to chat and be friendly & spend time with customers they seemed to know. Maybe we did not look ‘local’ or ‘cool ‘ enough for them.
We left a few dollars on the table and left.
Anyways.
This is the kind of a restaurant we’d love to support, say something good about it – but unfortunately we can’t.
So overall
No opinion on food (we were never served)
F on coffee (burnt)
F on Service
F on attitude
