Wow – What a find!!! First time at White Wine & Butter today. This place has been on my list for over a year, unbelievably good food. I had the Jambalaya Risotto and it was fantastic but the winner today was my wife’s Royal Street Pasta w Limoncello butter sauce, capellini pasta and a ton of langoustines. My dish was great but Wifeeee’s dish was insanely delicious. Perfectly cooked pasta, huge portion for lunch, but we didn’t leave a crumb. We were a bit earlier than they open (11:30am) but the beautiful and super pleasant manager, Ariana let us in and spent the time to tell us all about the menu, Chef Mike, different events they have. White Wine and Butter may be our favorite new hang and I’m looking forward to trying more of their menu. Highly recommend. Thanks Ariana, you’re a peach.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first (of many to come) meals at White Wine & Butter. The menu is thoughtful, with nice wine pairing suggestions, plenty of options but also clearly curated. Lots of flavor diversity, and some unexpected but very welcome ingredients. Each course had elements that were both familiar and surprising, which elevated the experience for us. All was well executed and delicious. The staff, our server Meg, and Chef Mike are all personable, welcoming and wonderfully unpretentious. We are grateful to have an elevated, yet accessible new favorite restaurant nearby. Looking forward to regular visits and more culinary treats! Cheers to Chef Mike at the WW&B Team!

I will preface this by saying the taste of the food was phenomenal. Portions are very small though. I actually left hungry.
Our service absolutely sucked. It took our waitress 15 minutes just to come to us the first time and ask if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered our appetizers and my husband ordered a sweet tea. It took another 10 minutes or so for him to get his sweet tea. Then another 10 or so to get our appetizers. We did not see our waitress again after ordering his drink and our appetizers for 30 minutes after our appetizers were FINISHED. It was another hour after we ordered our entrées before a hostess came and ask if we had had our food yet, because we had not seen our waitress for this whole hour. We told her no. She said she would check on them and probably 15 minutes later our entrées came out. When our waitress brought our checks, she apologized about the service and said they were shorthanded and had an event going on. That should’ve been said when she first came and took Our drink/appetizer order. You better believe she was very quick to take our payments and bring our receipts back. She was helping with a lot of the bartending. They should have had another waitress take over her tables or at least help with them. I have never had such bad service at a fine dining restaurant.

First time here. Service was good but seemed our server was spread thin due to a party. Appetizers were good not great. We had shrimp and grits and the oxtail lasagna. Lasagna was not at all what I was expecting and feel the server should have really explained that. I will say the fried chicken smelled amazing from another table but the food we had was very sub par. Beignets came out doughy and undercooked and had to send those back. When they came back out they were underwhelming.

I was really excited to try this restaurant but I was extremely disappointed after the first 30 minutes of our 3 hours and 10 minutes there today. We arrived and were seated right away. Our waitress arrived at the table to take our drink order after about 5 minutes which was great. There were about 5 other parties seated in the building so it was definitely not busy and they were setting up for an event outside as well. Drinks came about 15 minutes later from the bar. Waitress returned and said she was going to say hello to a table that had just set down and come back to take our orders. That didn’t happen. She stopped at a total of 4 tables and came back to take our order 20 minutes later. Once she came back we went ahead and placed our order for appetizer and entree because we were tired of waiting on her to return to the table. It took an hour for our appetizers to arrive and during the hour wait she never returned to the table to check on us nor refill our drinks. Another hour goes by without her coming to the table to say “hey we are running behind” or anything. She finally comes to the table and I ask for a manager because we had been here since 2:48 and it’s now almost 5 and we don’t have our entrees. Manager comes to table and doesn’t apologize. We let her know we are frustrated with waiting for 2 hours without our entrees and she says that she will try to offer us a dessert for the wait. Entrees finally come out and we order our desserts and have to wait another 20 minutes for the desserts to arrive. My cheesecake is literally frozen and has no taste. Another table of 6 gets up and tells an employee that they are going to dine and dash because the manager only offered them a gift card and that’s not sufficient and they walked out without paying. We watched 5 parties come in after us and leave before us and they even ordered the fried chicken which takes 30 minutes to cook. We ordered crab cakes and shrimp pasta! The manager didn’t seem to really care about us waiting. We felt like she should have offered to cover the cost of the entree for the time we waited. We drove 45 minutes to waste 3 hours of our day waiting on food.

Go to this restaurant. Period, just go. Don’t question it. I don’t exactly know where to begin because the food was outstanding. Every single thing we ordered was delicious, perfectly balanced and mind blowing. The service was great too, Charlize was our server, she did a great job! We got the deviled eggs with oysters and meatball as an appetizer. The eggs were perfect, it had their specialty seasoning, which is the best thing ever…I want some so I can sprinkle it on everything I eat at home. The oyster batter was seasoned so well, salty but not too much. The meatball was giant, it was so juicy and the sauce tasted like an Italian grandmother made it. I got a Caesar salad, the best one I’ve ever had, the smoked onions on it take it to a whole other level. It had the perfect amount of dressing and parm on top, it’s also served with picked okra which my little one ate every bit of. My husband got the shrimp and grits, it was smack your mama good. And my girls split the fried chicken, the fried chicken was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had and I’m a southern girl so I’ve had a lot of fried chicken. Charlize, our server told us it was brined in sweet tea for 24 hours, it was so juicy. The breading is perfectly season with hot sauce and I’m not sure what else, it’s also not a heavy breading but it was still crispy and crunchy. I didn’t have any of the Mac and cheese that came with the fried chicken but judging by my daughter’s face when she took the first bite that it was yummy. My girls split the chicken and they ate the whole thing, I had a few bites and so did my husband. We chose not to have dessert because we indulged in appetizers and dinner but next time we are getting dessert for sure. Chef Michael came out to the table and chatted with us, such a kind man. I thanked him for sharing his talents with us. He’s a true gift. I am sharing pictures but most everything had already been eaten because the food had my full attention.

Really lovely experience at White Wine and Butter! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special and welcome! Everything was super fresh, and the pastas were made in house. All the food was a step above and creative! We will definitely be back for another superb experience!

There are no wrong choices here! The food and service is phenomenal!
Kiki and Tony were our servers for the party held and there were outstanding. Excellent knowledge and recommendations with a never ending cup. We tried the snack board (including risotto balls, Gator meat and a crab dip-good initial taste though lacking a little on flavor), and the steak fries (outstanding -even from out pickiest eater- and the sauce brought out even more flavor) for appetizers. Our entrees were the Gap Creek burger (known in the upstate for a reason!) And the Big Bone risotto (out of this world). The Williamete Pinot Noir was a great pairing for all dishes and held its own flavor abundance. I am sober and satisfied as I make this beyond comparison report. You are making a great decision for your palette and your consumption when you pick White Wine and Butter!

Had shrimp and grits, French toast, Mac n cheese/brisket, deviled eggs and oysters, and beignet/wings(could have used more maple pecan syrup) but all were delicious. Apps were alittle slow to come out but kitchen was a little backed up but not bad. Ciara our waitress was friendly. Nice atmosphere and quiet place.

First time going and absolutely loved it. Took my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day and she loved it as well! It is a little pricey due to the Valentine’s day event but totally worth it. The Chef came and talked to everyone and the servers were on top of everything. 10/10 experience and Great Food!!! Shoutout to Tia McAlister (my sister) and Adriana for the awesome service!
