Lunch time at #happyhour. Enjoying a #staycation
If we could be mindful of how short our time is, we might learn how precious each day is.

Family-friendly atmosphere, and comfort food, with highlights including their famous Legendary Triple “O” sauce burger and kids Pirate Pak served in a pirate ship box with a burger, drink, fries, and a chocolate coin.

… if you’re looking for a meal with unlimited fries, White Spot is a great choice with endless Kennebec potatoes.

White Spot is known as west coast primary Canada’s longest running casual restaurant chain and being Canada’s first drive-in restaurant, pioneering carhop service … deeply tied to British Columbia’s food culture for nearly a century.

Came here after a last minute cousin reunion… There was a lot of us(3cousins+2husbands+5 kids + 1 baby+1 grandma) the food came quickly, refills on coffees and teas were offered, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, food was correct, and they even took photos for us.

This White Spot is great. Perfect for cheap family meals.

Not sure why this location is so popular with asians in the community, but nice to see. Chicken caeser salad was good. The breaded zucchini sticks were good substitutes on entrees. Nicely located right off Mckenzie Ave. Can get ice cream at Diary Queen or buy groceries at Thrifties right after.

A lot better than the White Spot I’m used to in Surrey: I swear the portions served here are bigger.

Met friends for lunch and were happy to find out that it was Pirate Pack day and we got to eat our meals in Pirate Packs for the first time in 45 years . Glad also that a few dollars from each meal went to charity.

First diner had fish & chip special which was good and worth $20. Second diner ordered original beef dip, was asked if they’d like to sub soup, server neglected to say it would be additional $3.50. Good chicken noodle soup, would have been better without the chunks of gristle. Menu states beef dip is made with slow roasted black angus beef on garlic panini bread. The (small) panini bread wasn’t garlic, folded roast beef looked more like sliced processed deli meat and was tasteless. Not worth $22.50.
We were seated near the hallway to the bathrooms. The strong, sweet perfume odor (air freshener?) every time a door opened was very unpleasant.
Lighting was poor, server said they turn the lights down at 3 pm. Why??
This used to be one of our regular restaurants to visit, had take out many times during covid. We were so disappointed this time, doubtful if we’ll be back.
Given 2 stars because of the fish and chips.

Totally overpriced, especially given the small portion that was served to is. $80 for two adult and two kids meals is ridiculous. A small portion of steak with two scoops of mashed potatoes and two branches of broccoli should NOT be $30! And the tiny portion is salmon shouldn’t be $20+.

Old fashioned style milkshakes were great… The steak was terrific but the side of mushrooms sent the body into sodium overload… Other order was chicken fingers with the clam chowder… Definitely not a new England style but good. The Cole slaw was different. The wait to get seated was surprisingly long considering it was not a full restaurant nor a busy hour. Our waitress was great.

I paid 74 dollars to get my mother and myself dinner, she ordered the shrimp sandwich with fries, I ordered a chicken, broccoli and cheese casserole and wanted Ceasars salad with it. And we split the new yorkies appy and my mom got a milkshake…..i worked as a chef at whitespot for 2 years. I know mlby heart how everything is made and exactly what and how much each dish has in ingredient.
1: shrimp sandwich had shredded lettuce (about 1 tablespoon worth-not the several layers of big pieces of lettuce it should have, so it got super soggy, they put next to no hotketchup on it as supposed to only have and instead added a bunch of mayo. Then there was without a doubt not a full portion of shrimp.
2: yorkies came without the au jus that was supposed to be added or giving to us to add at home
3: my casserole didn’t come with the Jazmine rice at all.(thua dish costs 19$ and they claimed it didn’t come with a side so I said Il pay extra to get a Ceasars with it. Receipt claims there is a side adter all and they chose to give me fries but not the riceand charged me for the salad side I asked for by the way had no parmasian cheese with it as it supposed to have…

I had to take the whole dinner apart down to each individual pieces and whipe off the old incorrect Ingredients, carefully separate the hot and cold and toasted elements to be prepared properly so I could rebuild it the proper way at home before I could give my mom her meal. As for me I guess I get to eat noodles in a cup tonight because I don’t have rice st home and 1 Yorkie without gravy and a ceaser salad without parm isn’t really the best and nice meal I was expecting. Tomorrow I am going into whitespot with the items that they completely made a mockery of the whitespot chain who goes out of their way for the line cooks to not be able to fail on such a grand and embarrassing scale. I will be expecting a complete refund or a complete remade intire meal before I leave and I will even remove this shameful review this restaurant has now. If they won’t make it right by doing 1 of the 2 expectations, I will spend my few weeks informing customers outside of the poor customer service and disregard to proper culinary pride in the food you give out.
