Needed dinner in an unfamiliar area and found this new location of a flushing favorite. It feels maybe slightly less spicy than the OG, but really hit the spot.

Walking into White Bear on Bond St in Great Neck, it doesn’t seem like much—it’s a little dark inside and seating is limited. But once the food arrives, all doubts disappear. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and the wontons with hot oil (#6), and both dishes were absolutely amazing—perfectly executed from start to finish. The wontons were silky, flavorful, and topped with a fragrant hot oil that brought just the right amount of heat. The Dan Dan noodles had the perfect chew, topped with savory minced pork, crisp cucumber, and a rich, well-balanced sauce.
The flavors immediately reminded me of the authentic spots in Flushing—bold, layered, and true to the original Sichuan taste. White Bear is truly a great addition to the Great Neck community, and while the atmosphere may be simple, the flavor and taste more than make up for it.

White Bear is hands down the BEST wonton place. The food is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and honestly addicting. Every single time I come here, I leave so happy.
The service is what really sets this place apart though. That kind of kindness is so rare and truly appreciated. The guy at the front desk is genuinely one of the nicest people — always welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like more than just a customer.
You can tell they really care about their food and the people who come in. If you’re thinking about trying this place, DO IT. White Bear never disappoints and will forever be my go-to spot

We got two kinds of food. Wonton soup and Taiwanese pork over noodle. Wonton was great, very tasty. I liked it. But my daughter didn’t like her pork over noodle. the topping was fine, but the noodle tasted old.

Love that I don’t have to fight Flushing for one of my favorite staples. Parking is not as hard as Flushing but you still have to find a spot. Same amazing wonton with hot oil.

Great #6 that’s what people come for. Nice space compared to the OG Flushing location. Parking still stinks but not as bad as Flushing. The restaurant is near the Great Neck LIRR station.
