Welcome to Whitaker’s — a modern, neighborhood bar where the cocktails shine. We call the notable Spratt Building home; a historic bank building native to Fort Mill dating back to 1911 and now the location of the third Whitaker’s in the Southeast. We find inspiration in blending classic methods with contemporary techniques; an approach which reigns true amongst our cocktails, sushi offerings, developments & more. Whitakers: where old meets new and classic meets modern — we sure hope you’ll stay a while.

Will definitely be back.
The sushi was fresh and flavorful, with creative rolls that stood out. The service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, friendly, and quick to offer recommendations, making the meal feel personalized. The staff’s warmth added to the trendy, inviting vibe of the historic Spratt Building location.
We were thrilled to be seated immediately, a rare treat given Whitaker’s popularity and often long wait times, especially on weekends. The happy hour (Tuesday–Friday, 4–6 PM) was a highlight. Whitaker’s nails great food, top-notch service, and a lively atmosphere. I’d recommend visiting during happy hour or off-peak times to avoid the usual wait. This is a must-visit for sushi lovers in Fort Mill!
Time between arriving and getting your food took us 2 hours! I could have gone fishing, caught the fish, and prepared the food in the same amount of time. We ordered only 4 sushi rolls. Let me say that again, only 4 rolls. Thr rolls themselves were decent. But it doesn’t come close to making up for everything else.
I don’t blame the waiter for the time it took to get the food as they just put the order in. They keep our drinks full, at least until we got the food. Then we didn’t see them it was time to pay.
The atmosphere was terrible. Space inside is very tight. Seats aren’t comfortable. Plus, they had a huge pile of dirty glasses on the bar table.
We won’t be going back.
Not a huge far of bar environments, because to don’t drink. Our waiter was super friendly, he answered any question we had. We tried the lobster slider and shrimp dip on the small bites. Both were delicious, the lobster salad on the bun was creamy, but lacked something… Being slightly bland. The shrimp dip was excellent and had an element of heat to it. I got the firecracker sushi roll and because I am not a fan of avocado I asked if they could swap it out with cream cheese, which they did,. And it was fantastic, We followed dinner with a piece of cheesecake, which the server said was okay, but that the sauce was what made the dish and he was right. This turned out to be a great mistake. We have passed this place up in the past because of the bar but we will come here again.
