It had been so long since I got ice cream from here, I decided to stop for my birthday. It was SO good! I got a cheesecake flurry and it had so much cheesecake, and the cheesecake itself was the best I think I’ve ever had in any ice cream! I’ve never had it as good as it was from here. The (I’m assuming vanilla?) ice cream base was also very good, and wasn’t low quality tasting. The girl who was working the window was very friendly as well!

Stopped by here after passing by for over a year, especially living down the street. Should’ve stopped way sooner! Prices and food are delicious! Staff was pleasant, kind, and patient. The ice cream alone is well worth stopping! Will be stopping by again!

Love that Whistle Stop is still open. I used to come here a lot as a kid 35 years ago. We came back home this week from Alaska and drove to Beloit to visit my favorite ice cream place. Still the same great place in remember as a kid.

The food was excellent! The wait on to hot sandwiches to be done was ridiculous!! The prices were fair tho and the customer service was great.

Oh my goodness. The ice cream here is DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend a dark chocolate raspberry truffle ice cream cone. It is one of the best ice cream cones I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to try their fried veggies and some other menu items too

The service was horrendous! The food is always good but when you have to wait over an hour for a hamburger and you were the first people in line that is absolutely unacceptable. People behind us kept leaving. The employee taking our order had no idea what was on the sandwich’s she says I don’t know …can you go ask …no I’m the only one here . How are you going to make the sandwich when you have no idea what is even on it? She said there is no diet pop at all I don’t know if that is true …and she said there was no malt vinegar but lo and behold there was which another employee found (even though she was reportedly alone) I was very disappointed and couldn’t believe the owner allows this to go on. He should have made it right but he didn’t. I really enjoy their food but I absolutely will not be back there if this is how he is going to allow his business to be ran. Shame on you Rockwell for not making it right and allowing this to go on. I always held you to a higher standard but I was apparently very wrong. Do better …PLEASE!!
