We got the chicken bacon ranch flatbread as an appetizer. It was loaded with toppings and we took 1/2 of it home. For dinner, I got the California Burger with a side of onion rings. Extra points for perfectly cooked bacon! I can’t speak for my companion, but he ordered the steak tips with mashed potato and seasonal veggie, which was butternut squash. His plate was cleaned up quickly so I assume it was all very good! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and we left very full with some leftovers. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Luckily there were booths in the back room because the bar area is very loud. Great if that’s what you’re looking for. Booth area has a view into the kitchen via the serving window but we did not have any issue with that. We did not order alcohol or desserts and our total for 2 with 25% tip was $80. Overall, I would recommend and I would return.

My husband and I went out for a Valentine’s meal here. We enjoyed everything from the service to the food. Nice home town feel. I had the” Rachel “ turkey sandwich and husband had the whistle stop burger both very good. We will be back.

Busy is the only good thing about this place. Me and my wife visited this place for the third time, hoping that after changing ownership our experience would have been different. Well it was, but not for the better.
Honestly, I have to admire the stubbornness of New Englander’s, still frequenting this establishment even though it is quite obviously a terrible place to go out to eat.
If you just want drinks, to sit and have a conversation with your party, not really caring about your service or if the food is even modestly decent, and really like being crowded, then this place is definitely for you.
My food was average at best, mashed potatoes were just that, no seasoning, butter or anything, which I can appreciate for its simplicity being a chef myself. The prime rib was average, decent flavor and doneness. Best part of the meal had to be the clam chowder, which they would have no excuse to get wrong. My wife food was another story. Cajun fries were oddly sweet and very over seasoned. Burger was just wrong, wrong type of burger and was still frozen in the middle! My wife is not a sort to make a commotion, so she said nothing of this until after we had already left.
Service was terrible at best. Never got asked about refill on drinks, which my drink and my wife’s was clearly empty half way though or experience….my wife visually and audibly cough from some of the seasoning from the fries going down the wrong pipe. She finished off my drink and hers and no one seemed to notice or care. Not for the lack of our waitress and all the others passing by as we sat near to where the chef uses red out completed orders to be delivered once complete. Before the coughing fit, we where ready to order food to take home and even give a desert a try, as we understand the restaurant business isn’t busy, but the inattentiveness of the staff deterred us from this.
Will never visit again, though I hope this post brings some light to the owners/chef of the establishment and they turn things around.

We were on our way to Concord, MA to visit a friend. My husband and I were hungry and I googled places near our location and came across this great local bar. Staff was very friendly. There was a good size bar seating area with tables along the side walls and a back dining room. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. The burgers were so big and were cooked perfectly med-well. I love sweet potato fries, but the regular fries were so good. And, the batter on the onion rings was awesome!!!

You’re not missing anything. Thought we’d try it out since it reopened and it somehow got worse. I’m writing this halfway done my food because I’m that upset.
-2 cheeseburgers ordered, both had literally ice cold unmelted cheese on top
-no alcohol in the drinks
-appetizer never came
-didn’t get several things we asked for
-sweet potato fries that somehow weren’t sweet at all and came before the meal they were with
This was a terrible experience back and Whistle Stop shouldn’t have reopened. This ain’t it, Empire Wok would be a better choice in Webster than this place

Good solid pub food with smiles and attentive service. One of those Roadhouse style restaurants that are hard to find these days. Mostly locals but it’s right off I-395, if you poke around. Highly recommended! Worth timing your long haul drive for lunch or dinner to stop in. My shrimp wrap was delicious.

Had the app tray…everything on it was tasty, chix tenders, potato skins, fresh pretzels.
Also had meatball tasty as well, but a lil too salty for me. Garlic bread was yummy!

Went here with my brother for dinner the other night. Service was great and the food was prepared very quickly. The restaurant has ample parking and is located only a couple of minutes away from I-395. We chose to sit at the bar but there are booths and tables available. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I would seriously consider a return visit. You can’t go wrong here!

I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The chili was good but a little undersized in my opinion. The rattlesnake pasta was really good. Had a nice bite to it but was not overpowering. The server was even better than the food. Friendly, efficient, and helpful. I’m glad I stopped in.
