I’ve been excited to try Whistle Britches for a year after seeing the Southlake location, but my experience at the Plano (Shops at Willow Bend) spot was incredibly disappointing. While the food was fantastic, the environment was atrocious.

It started at the door with a long wait to be acknowledged in a nearly empty restaurant, and continued with a very unfriendly hostess (long black hair/glasses). Once seated, the atmosphere was chaotic, the bartender was barking orders at staff, and the front and back of house were audibly arguing. It was obvious no one wanted to be there, and guests were treated like an inconvenience.

I’d love to try another location, but I won’t be returning to this one. There is clearly a major staffing and management issue. Customer beware.

Neat little restaurant close to what can loosely be called a mall. Atmosphere is rather nice since it has this country farm esthetic. Service is friendly although they did speak too quietly. And the food was very delicious with the shoe string fries being very addictive and the chicken tenders being hot, crispy, juicy, and fresh. The only cons I have are the Cajun fries are too strong and the prices are too high. But overall, I really liked this place. Definitely recommend to those living in Plano.

My family and I, along with a couple of friends, stopped by Whistle Britches after church and had a great experience. We started with the cream corn skillet cornbread as an appetizer – it was absolutely delicious and full of flavor.

For my meal, I had the Hot Cakes and Tenders. The chicken tenders were seasoned really well, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet – a perfect pairing.

Everyone in our group ordered different dishes, and we all left happy. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Great spot for a relaxed meal with family and friends – we’ll definitely be back!

Great breakfast/brunch location at the deserted Willow Bend Mall location.
For the Love Me Tender which had 4 perfectly crispy fried chicken tenders with a really dry biscuit and coleslaw. The biscuit isn’t great, so maybe try it with something else if possible.
The butter and marmalade was delicious on either biscuit or chicken.
Definitely could see myself coming back with friends.

Food was good! I had chicken and waffles. I would recommend a better orange juice as it wad not good. It was a low end concentrated juice. One bartender seemed to not like that we wanted to change our drink, but the lady was very nice sweet. Overall Great.

Whistle Britches – Willow Bend never disappoints! The pot pie was golden and flaky with a fresh, crisp salad on the side, pure comfort food. The Reuben was packed with flavor, with perfectly toasted rye and tender corned beef. Great food, great presentation, highly recommend!

A stylish restaurant in Willow Bend mall with indoor and outdoor seating. It has a full bar with stools and serves cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine, with happy hour specials daily from 2-6 pm. The margaritas were great, but the food was average. I enjoyed the appetizers, especially the corn fritters, more than the meatloaf. My friend liked the chicken pot pie.

The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff.

Parking was easy since the mall is mostly empty.

Pricing: Moderate, with happy hour deals on drinks and appetizers making it a great value.

Was a little hesitant upon arrival, as the place seemed very dead. But man what a win. Great cocktails, fun menu. I ended up having probably the best pastrami sandwich I’ve had in my life. They do great things with their ingredients. Gotta try this place out if you haven’t

Had a Dr visit in the area so we decided to go ahead and try them out for lunch. I’ve been here once but it’s been a long time.

The service was great and the food also was awesome. I got the chicken pot pie and my wife got chicken and waffles.

I definitely recommend if your wanting some good chicken.
