This is my go-to for after work wine and appetizers. It has a great atmosphere for meeting up with friends, especially their patio in the summer. They have excellent food that’s great to share. I have liked everything we have ordered.
I’ve never had a bad glass of wine, either recommended by staff or on the small menu. You’re welcome to wander the shelves and pick out whatever you want too.
Service is friendly and they check on you several times throughout your visit. This is a very popular place, so be sure to make a reservation.

The Whispering Vine is my favorite places to wine shop! The prices are the best in town and the selection is incredible. I also love the food offerings at the 4th Street location – how cool to be able to order dinner and select a fantastic bottle of wine without the mark up. The knowledge of the staff and their willingness to guide shoppers through their abundant selection makes this a one-of-kind, date night experience. If you haven’t been to the Whispering Vine Wine Co., you have been missing out.

We are always happy when we go to Whispering Vine, and we’re never disappointed. The food, the drinks (obviously), and the staff are consistently excellent.
They have a great selection of unique, flavorful dishes, and the salt and vinegar tater tots are an absolute staple for us every visit. The charcuterie board is our go-to appetizer—it’s loaded with delicious options and always hits the mark.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoy being able to wander around and choose a bottle (or bottles) of wine to enjoy with dinner. It adds to the overall experience and makes it feel relaxed and personal.
Pricing is very fair for the quality of food, the portion sizes, and the level of service. The wine and alcohol pricing is also very competitive with local shops, and unlike many restaurants, you don’t pay an inflated premium on wine here.
Overall, I highly recommend Whispering Vine. It’s a consistently great experience and one of our favorite spots in town.

The ability to select wine off their shelf and have it served to you is another 5star amenity! great locally owned establishment with fantastic prices so it’s easy to BUY LOCAL without sacrificing price or quality!

This is consistently one of my favorite spots in Reno! The food is always incredible, the cocktails are spot-on and the wine selection is obviously stellar. I highly recommend trying a wine flight, the value is unbeatable for the quality of wines they offer. Definitely order any one of the taco offerings and the salt and vinegar tots!

My husband and I love Whispering Vine. Reservations are easy, service and food is great. They don’t have a mark up on bottles of wine like in other restaurants. Just pick a bottle off the shelf from their huge selection. If you don’t want wine they have a full bar and great specialty drinks.

When I want to have a good time in a comfortable place with good food and wine, I think of the Whispering Vine! I know 100% my friends and I will enjoy a delicious meal in a place with great ambiance! The staff is super nice and attentive. Not once have I had a bad experience and I have dined at Whispering Vine many many times! Give them a try, you won’t be sorry!
