Reason for the 3 star is food was good, But dinner role was still frozen in the center, the mash potatoes was more rich flavor than anything, i had the steak and was supposed to be medium rare and it wasn’t, i think the chef took the day off and left someone else in charge, other than that, great night to spend time with family and friends at the bar. We had an awesome waitress, she did not hesitate to make the food better and the night better for all of us. Deanna u are awesome and a awesome waitress and bartender!!!! Watching someone handle multiple jobs at one time was awesome to watch. I can see this place going under if they loose u. Keep up the great work!!!

We love Whiskey Trail and visit often. Occasionally they are shirt staffed leaving a bit of a wait on food or refills, but they always serve with a smile. I love their salad bar for when I want something light. But we also love all the fat and grease and richness of BBQ. The chicken tenders and catfish are family favorites with large portions. Fried okra is always a winner and the loaded potato salad perfectly creamy. Their smoked meats are served tender, juicy and full of flavor. Whether in the mood for ribs or brisket, you will leave with a full belly and maybe a little sauce lingering on the lips if you enjoyed them correctly. Be sure to try the white bbq sauce if you like rich and tangy! Amd ask for some banana pudding if you still habe room at the end (we rarely do) All in all, always a tasty trip to Whiskey Trail.

Took my Mom here on 2/8/26 for her birthday. Wasn’t very busy. Service staff was extremely friendly. No complaints. However, the food was terrible. She had a ribeye. First 2 or 3 bites it was warm. Then she said it was cool. Kinda like microwave heated. And I have had better brisket . Not bad but could have been better. Also one of the staff was sweeping and dusting off baseboards near our table while eating. I didn’t realize you guys were only open for 5 hours on Sunday. I guess that’s the reason behind the poor food quality. I didn’t want to complain because it looked as if yall were short staffed. I might try yall out again sometime…just…not on Sunday..

We were absolutely disappointed in the food. The brisket had zero smoked flavor the 3 varieties of bbq sauce were below average for sure and the corn bread very dry. My wife’s steak was a disappointment to her,it was cooked correctly but seriously under seasoned not of black Angus quality for sure. To Walk out with the sald bar being the highlight was a let down for sure. If you only get to eat out once in a while we wouldn’t/ couldn’t recommend and feel good about it. My reviews are always honest and fair. And it’s never easy to have to leave this level of a review. But its important for folks to get value for their dollar in any economy

I just had wisdom teeth removed a few days ago and they have food soft enough to eat like pulled meat on a bun for a sandwich. I think it was at the top of the menu on the 2nd or 3rd page. Worth it. Wish I would have said something to the girl serving me and I think she had a tattoo on her forearm I’m speechless They were all very nice and welcoming. Pretty fast also. But not rushed to make the food taste funky. Delicious will be coming back for sure my mom and I are glad we found this place. LoL she said not to say anything to her I should not have listened to mom this time.

Our server was great, and the atmosphere was great. The food we got wasn’t the best. The Barell head sampler a 4 meat sampler, and everything except the ribs were dry. The ribs were perfect. The appetizer had to be re made due to overcooked cheese and dry meat. We will try it again just to see how the food is cause the service was great and the atmosphere

Since I’m a Texan, after reading the menu, I felt called out to make a stop to check it out. First thing I noticed: No smell of smoke outside or inside from a smoker.
In Texas, I would have given y’all 3 stars for decent BBQ, possibly in my Top 10 around Texas. In Tennessee, 4 stars. It’s worth folks stopping in for a bite to eat.
The wings were delicious. Also, the ribs are good, and the sweet potato casserole is good. I’ve never had a potato salad that tasted the way this one does, but it was good. It’s made different in Texas (different influence).
The Brisket: It was good, a tad bit dry but just about not noticeable. No smoky taste or aroma that I noticed, which is different. Folks should still get some brisket. It’s good and tender.
The BBQ sauce: Entirely different from Texas BBQ sauce. This was my first Tennessee BBQ sauce experience, so I don’t feel I can give an experienced review on it. “Hot” is hotter in Texas.
Now, the homemade fried pies. They seemed baked, not fried, but maybe they weren’t fried very long. Go ahead and try these out. If the dough were a little thicker, they’d been pretty close to tasting like my great-grandmother’s homemade fried pies. They’re good.
It’s definitely a BBQ place to stop in for a visit. Especially if you’re Texan. Anyone else, as well.

My uncle and I stopped in for dinner and what we experienced was far beyond dinner. Our waitress was exceptional, very kind, prompt, not lingering but always available. There was a small mixup with one of the sides and she right on it, correcting it. The owner was out on the floor introducing herself and welcoming us (and other customers) to their establishment. Asking us if we had ever been there and everything was to our expectations. She also invited us to the bar side for karaoke after our dinner. We took her up on the offer and we had a blast! This will definitely be a place we return to when we’re back in town.
